"We have enough players on defense that we need to play better than that. Thats what we have to look at."

"Really not much you can do to explain it, it was very poor. We lost a lot of one on one battles and didnt tackle very well. I dont think we did a whole lot well defensively the whole day."

again your missing the point. read the thread.

No one is saying what he said is wrong. But it will cause a HUGE issue.

No I think you are wrong. The offense has been criticized plenty this season. Guys have been benched for poor play. This is the first time I've seen CKW step up and admit that his bunch of prima donnas on defense aren't playing anywhere near like they should.

You are getting alarmed for nothing imo.

Yeah, so what if the defense gets mad at Whiz. What are the going to do? Have a letdown and allow a less than mediocre offense carve them up?

No the finger pointing starts in the lockeroom. You know the tiny issue according to you guys but the players mention every post game?

Once the finger pointing starts, the fights in the lockerroom starts. Players stop playing the little they are and start talking to agents how to get the hell out.

Then no FA will touch us with a 10 foot pole (again) and the same old cards come back.

But no big deal.

Players still came here, even when they were horrible. They will still come here.

Well lets agree to disagree on that one. of course im talking talented players. But you go on with your bad self and your version of the history lol. I remember the 90's and 2000-2006 pretty well.

These types of posts still shock me. They are posted almost daily. Years and years Decades even now of posts "Why wont "We cant land big FA cause we are cheap/bad mgmt/etc etc"

Yes it takes days or hours for people to forget. Yeah we got the occasionaly decent FA and plenty of awful one but really? You really forget all those years of complaining that we cant attract good players because of the cardinals history of futility? Really?

And not only that the number of posters that take a threads multi layered poitn and pick one word out of it and go on a tangent is multiplying a hundred fold. At what point is this trolling?

Again I disagree. The Cards could still attract good players they just had to pay the "Crummy Team Premium" to get them and of course as soon as they signed with Arizona they caught Cactus Fever and grew 10 thumbs and two left feet.

That happens on different threads every day on every message board I've ever read.

But back to the main point. Players on offense have been called out and benched for poor play but not the defense until now. So unless you are wrong the problems should already exist and the locker room should already be in disarray.

And given the effort lately maybe it is. And that could be the reason that CKW has finally started to be critical of the defense.

EDIT: Hey maybe Swd is right and the deal with Dan Williams (Defense) weight was to balance out Lutui(Offense)? Maybe CKW is on top of this far more than we think.

.

You make a good argument. And it is on point which is rare here lol

I think the benching is seen as position specific. I think now its getting to sound like 2 sides of the ball. I think thats what the players mean by fingerpointing. Defense blaming offense and visa versa. I think its almost here and I think Whiz is just starting to get that ball rolling. Again my opinion but something others agree with and imo was thread worthy.

Just curious... aside from McNabb, which "great players" over the past 3-4 years would you have wanted the Cards to grab that they didn't and went to other teams?? I'll give you Peppers. But who else? Favre? Moss? Tomlinson? Thomas Jones? Merriman? Where are all of these supposed "great FA's"??

This makes zero sense as to what I said. Wouldnt my posts elude to the fact that I said we can now get good FA's? And in the past FA's avoided the cardinals like the plague? Its obvious you havent been a fan long so just fyi prior to oh say the Denny Green era no one came here unless they were vastly overpaid. Often FA's would use the cards as a barganing chip and come visit AZ just to sweeten their offers somewhere else.

So in asking me to name ""great players" over the past 3-4 years would you have wanted the Cards to grab that they didn't " your asking me to reprove my own point.

Why should I have to prove my own point? Go start your own thread with the same point if you want to lol

Now back to the point since your 0 for 2 in understanding any of this thread where others seem to have no issue understanding.

IF a division occurs between the offense and defense OR WHAT PLAYERS ARE REFERING TO AS "fingerpointing" begins the lockeroom could become cancerous. Players will look to bolt as soon as their contracts are up. Then the cardinals will have lost their "luster" to future free agents just as we were become a somewhat OK place to go after the Warner years.

Sorry 82. Just cant simplify this anymore for you. I think its best you just look into some other threads to discuss.

You crack me up dude...

Anyway, your contention seems to be that because Whiz is "picking on the defense", that "fingerpointing" will now ensue... Seems to me that your basis for this has been proven wrong as it's been pointed out that Whiz has been very critical of the offense all year, and is just now turning his sights to the defense. Also, as one poster included, Whiz's words were hardly "bashing" the defense...
I would say your basis for all of your wild speculation is simply, well, wrong.
Secondly, you seem to be suggesting that because of your belief that "fingerpointing" would now ensue, that our ability to grab top-quality FA's will greatly diminish. Of course, since your belief has already been proven wrong, this really isn't an issue.
My point about FA's was to ask, if you were right and if top FA's were to now shun the desert once again, what would that actually look like? Going back over the last 3-4 years, what top FA's were out there that we didn't get?? And, what impact did those FA's have on the teams that landed them? In other words, all of this concern about landing top FA's seems immensely over done. Sorta like most of your rants in this thread... ;)

OK well the first half of your post had a point. Whoopie it took you what 4 posts to say you disagree that Whiz is calling out the D yet not admitting the HUGE mistakes and awful play on O? OK wow you have another thought. Yay to you and education in America.

Then you go right off the rails and make no point in the second half and prove you still have no idea about trhe FA talk. There are many instances but Ill point this one out as a "huh wha?"

"Secondly, you seem to be suggesting that because of your belief that "fingerpointing" would now ensue, that our ability to grab top-quality FA's will greatly diminish. Of course, since your belief has already been proven wrong, this really isn't an issue."

I love being proven wrong before anything that I said has even occured yet. Kuddos to you! You win your argument...with yourself I guess because you certainly aree not participating in this thread.
