I have no doubt the Cardinals will be ready come this Sunday. Did you see Whiz's face when asked about players job security and if they'd be replaced. It's at the end of the PC. He said some players have been talked to and other will but the look on his face when answering was a look of dead, stone cold-hearted seriousness. I have a feeling that you don't ever want to get in Whiz's doghouse.

Somebody has to hold this team accountable, players and coaches alike. I hope Whiz is at the end of his rope right now. Would like to see most of the team benched but that is not plausable, so give out fines or what ever takes to wake these guys up!!

I am a Whis supporter but feel like he should have been more angry and more direct. We got our butts handed to us at home last week and to have two games in a row like that...he should be pissed.

I prefer Mike Singletary's style (and Bill Cowher, Jimmy Johnson, and John Gruden).

You wanted Whis to pull his pants down?

You gotta take your pants down to Whis.

Seriously, I thought that the reporter asking the question about benching had a very valid point. He stated that he couldn't threaten benching his players if they weren't playing right given the timing of the year. Whis tried to state that he would bench players if they weren't doing well, but it seemed hollow to me. He isn't going to make offensive line changes. Kurt is still playing. TH appears to be starting next week and Edge isn't getting more carries.

Sounds like a bluff to me.

That just isn't Whiz's style. A coach can't pretend to be something he's not. That's probably the quickest way to get yourself fired.

Tom Landry, Don Shula, Chuck Noll, Bill Belichick etc. all had success without wearing their heart on their sleeve.

Whiz has already shown me he has the guts to go with Warner over Leinart, Hightower over Edge and so on. I think he holds people accountable.

Mulli, you know, times are changing. The Cardinals can do stuff now and you're going to have to learn how to deal with it.

They were talking about this on the radio this morning. Whis has stated that film will be looked at; too many guys free-lancing (ie, wanna-be heros) and those that are not playing disciplined will be taken out of the game.

They didn't wanna name players, but my first guess would be Dansby, then Rolle. Problem is they don't have any suitable replacements for them.

Whiz does have a different style. I was just saying I like the Cowher/Jimmy Johnson style to the Landry/Noll style. I wasn't suggesting that Whiz be someone he is not. Another way to get yourself fired is by losing the team.

Either way...the most important style is winning.

The stream has to be continuous in order to complete the circuit. The problem is that when liquid is in stream form, it tends to separate.

Not to say that it can't happen, just that its extremely improbable.

I still have hope for Whis.

The people that say he has to be himself are right and he has to find a way to do that and still get the right people benched at the right time to send the right message without losing the rest of the team.

Welcome to being a HC in the NFL, it aint easy or everyone would do it.

It's a good sign to me he's getting angry, in whatever way he does that.

That anger needs to be focused and then the offenders need to be cut from the herd, in a systematic, team friendly way.

I have a feeling this offseason is going to be very active, cutting out the bad seeds and bringing in guys that fit Whis' desires more effectively. I'm still shocked he hasn't got a solid TE in here who can block well and make some tough catches, given Whis' own background. We don't need a world-beater TE, just a guy who is a consistent blocker and can be an effective safety valve.

i thought Dansby was about the only guy who played decent last week. If i had to guess ,i'd say he's talking about Antonio Smith and Deuce Lutui as main guys. I saw Elton Brown and Campbell in alot last week.

Deuce is always good for 1 false start, and one holding every game.

The fact that we picked up Spach from the scrap heap and he is seeing significant playing time should speak volumnes about where Pope, Tuman and Patrick sit with Whiz

Good point...I remember seeing Calais make a couple of plays.

He said "guys staying in there technique"...would that be specific to the Dline?
