Who Cried??

I cried. Anyone who has stuck with this team through thick and thin (mostly thin) was entitled to a good cry on this one! Our phones are ringing off their hooks...it's like...well, unbelievable!

I cried. I have followed the team since 1963. The first to call were my daughters, 28 and 24. Then, I thought of my Mom who passed away 4 yrs ago. She was a football fan, but a Rams fan (mostly LA Rams). She loved Kurt Warner when he was with the Rams. And, when her health failed, she would always ask me how my Cardinals were doing. Well, Mom, we're doing just fine.

I cried at half time and then sat in my living room screaming at the D until Hightower's TD then I cried again,... and again when we won... and again when I saw A-Dub's interview... and again about 20 minutes ago. Its 1am here, I really should try and sleep... somehow...

It's amazing how it felt to cry for joy. I've been watching the Cardinals since the late 60's and well remember the good days of the franchise but alot of past frustration went went pouring out. I can let go of a lot of disappointments. I turned 50 Jan.1. What a birthday present. I guess I was willing to accept whatever happened in the playoffs but no more I want the rest of the experience. We can win the Super Bowl!!

At the end of the game I just sat in my seat with my hand over my mouth just fighting back the tears.
I was surrourned by people, yes Cardinals fans, that had no idea what it took to get here.
The years of misery ar SDS!
When I got back to the tailgate and the people i have lived the battle with;
Yeah, I cried!
Every person that I have met and known over the years I grabbed on to and hugged.
There was a lot of love out there this afternoon.
I'm still trying not to well up.

Every 10 minutes I look at my roommates and say, holy crap we made it.. and they look at me with a dirty look.. they just don't understand, but we made it.. this is one of the best days of my life.
