Who do want to meet in the playoffs?

With all this talk about a potential upset in the first round I'm curious to know what the experts here on ASFN think. I have not watched a single Nuggets or Warriors game this season so I'm basically clueless on the matter. I've watched all the Mavs/Suns and Spurs/Suns games and I honestly think we can stick it to both but I haven't been able to gauge these two upstarts. Would anyone rather meet the Spurs than either of these teams?

Thanks.

In a word.

Nope. The Spurs are the Suns' kryptonite.

Whomever we play, it is interesting to see the reaction of the fans. Was over at the Mavs board, and they're Tom Smykowski from Office Space during the interview that gets him laid off.

The Mavs' "Where's the system? We have a freakin' system!" hysteria is sounding a lot like, "I have people skills! I am good at dealing with people! Can't you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people?"

Just hope we can keep to our system and not end up like that.

I have a question. Are the match-ups in bracket form or does it just go by seeding? I thought it was seeding until I saw the bracket on TNT but I'm not sure. Do we play the winner of the Spurs-Nuggets, or if the Nuggets win do the Mavs get them since they are the lowest seed?

Brackets. The Suns, if they advance, play the winner of SAS/DEN.
Then I'm right again...people at school are clueless. It's really annoying listening to some of them talk in 1st period. Especially the girl that says, "Steve Nash? Who's that?" and "The Suns are getting really lazy" during the last two games of the season...that's why I come here.

I wouldn't mind playing Denver or Golden State. They both have very explosive offenses, but they'd be playing our type of game and I don't see anyone beating us at our game. I hope that one of the team's gets upset, but I'd really like to play either Dallas or San Antonio. I want US to beat one of them and knock them out of the playoffs. The team I REALLY would like to play is the Houston Rockets in the WCF. Yao would be useless for almost every game so I don't see them as much of a threat against the Suns and their style.

I agree. I'd like to play Memphis.

Seriously though the Suns should feel confident against either the Nuggets or Warriors. Sure each of them has blown the Suns out, but the Suns won every other game against both teams.

I want to beat the Spurs... badly! We haven't done it in since Barkley in 1993... (that time in 2000 doesn't count since their bigs were hurting).

They scare me though.

Love to see Denver pull off the upset. I think we can take the Mavs this season, but of course it would be nice to see them eliminated before the WCF

The easiest path for the Suns is probably Denver then Houston. Although if GSW manages to beat Dallas, I see the Rockets having a hard time with them.

I can see Yao crouched over, gasping for air all series long...

I'd like to see Suns, Nuggs, and Warriors win their respective series, just to see the face of Charley Rosen and all the simplistic defense-win-championship people.

After that, well, we will win, win, win, no matter who is the opponent.

Go Suns!

Do they get to school in one of these?

Well, if I went to the school of sports then yes they would be riding in one of those. It really worries me if this is the future of sports fans in Arizona...

I'd just love to see the reaction of the people who keep preaching that. Nuggets, Suns and Warriors to round 2. Suns and Warriors to the WCF and then Suns over Nets. lol....

It would certainly be interesting if the Nuggets and Warriors are the next two opponents. I have a lot or respect for both teams and expect any series with either could easily be as big a challenge as playing the Spurs and Mavs.

Denver may upset SA.

But if the Spurs win in more than six games, I think the Suns will have a pretty good shot at taking the series.

This assumes that the Suns series ends in 5 or less. If the Suns' series also drags out to 6 or 7, I think the Spurs would win.

The big key--rest.

I'm not sure the issue is how long the series runs as how it is played. The problem the Suns had last year was how physical the games against both LA teams were. The Clippers in particular were brutal and the refs let it happen.

The Lakes are just not that physical. A series that is mostly running is not much different than holding practices. The Suns run all the time anyway.
