My predictions ...

KC - L
SF - W
STL - L
Denver - L
Carolina - W
Dallas - L
SF - L

I think we MIGHT split with San Fran and win the game at home, though we could really stink up the place in front of a national audience (and, when I say national, I don't really think all that many people will be watching).

Carolina is terrible so we might pull that one off. I think we lose to Dallas simply because they were able to put up so many points against the Giants.

Regardless, I think we win two more games at best.

And both of them are Joe Montana and Roger Staubach compared to any of our QB's. Face it, our team is probably the worst team in the NFC. If not the worst, pretty damned close.

Not according to FootballOutsiders: http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/qb

According to FO, Derek Anderson is SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER than Moore or Clausen. They're ranked right behind him, but Anderson is better than either of them on both a per-play and per-season basis.

That being said, they're the 38, 39, and 40th-best quarterbacks in the NFL. Max Hall is last among qualifying QBs.

Brian St Pierre is most likely getting brought up from the Panthers practice squad this week...

There goes our chance in Carolina. :D

I think we can beat the best in the league.

I also think we can lose to the worst team in the league.

In this NFL there could be 5 teams in 5 weeks holding each of those top and bottom spots, so I don't really feel there is a BEST in the NFL or WORST in the NFL. It's been trending this way for years, but I really think this year is even more whacky on that point. This week Philly and NE look like worldbeaters, and are perhaps the best teams in their conference.

Who thought Oakland was going to go for 59 points in 3 quarters? Who thought Dallas was going to be where they are? (hoped yes, actually thought no)

So yes, something even beyond ANY GIVEN SUNDAY, we can win or lose against any team in the NFL realistically imo.

We are a GOOD team, with some GLARING holes. The QB position has hurt us far more than expected by most (including our defense with time of possession and tiring out). I think our WR core has been injured, I think the loss of Q has also hurt us more than expected. Like some said, after Warner, the WR most valuable to us in such a state, would have been Q. It's obvious that is the case imo.

Even times where our defense played good through 3+ quarters, it was hard not to expect some let down from them in the 4th after being on the field for 25-30 minutes and the 4 quarter had yet to begin.

Davis is gone after the season.

Seeing that we're playing alot more on the losing end upcoming, hopefully we can finish strong (I do think we can) and sneak up from behind for a Division title.

We were a good team. Not anymore. The thing that just kills me about Cardinal teams is that they just don't carry over any momentum. They get a great gift win over Oakland or whip the defending Super Bowl Champs at home and then come off the bye week and :thud:.

It also works in reverse with our guys. They lose 6 in a row in unbelievable ways that would destroy the psyche of most teams and then suddenly win 4 of their next 6 games.

A strange team to predict to say the least.

I saw this earlier. It's amazing that dude still has practice squad eligibility.

Losing to BSP would be a fitting end to a dreadful season.
