We old guys remember that being the name og Johnny Carson’s first network TV show. For me it’s the question I get about mock drafts every year. Most everyone has the top 7 in some order. Sorting the DLs is the biggest challenge. Since my buddy Dave Te, RIP, is no longer with us; here’s a few to consider.

A great website is the Mock Draft Database. They have history, key links and ice consensus data. You could spends hours researching here. Beware problem ads you can’t close. It’s big but not comprehensive

Though he’s a pain and only just ranks the top 25, Mel Kiper still should be viewed. He’s has great contacts, has been doing this forever and usually is in the ballpark.

An oldie but a goodie is Tony Pauline. Worked for teams and tons of experience; professional.

Usually I have Dave Brugler, The Athletic, near the top, but either he’s right or everyone else is wrong on the DLs. He’s has Grant at 31. Subscriptions only. I’ll be stunned if his second Cards’ pick is still there.

Rob Rang has moved to Fox Sports. He’s usually in the hunt.

Daniel Jeremiah is at NFL.COM these days. He’s got inside info. No mock yet!!! Old link below. You have to get a login to see what little draft stuff is there unless they’ve changed it.

Tony Pauline is top notch and keeps his finger on the nfl pulse.

I know its not popular these days but I still like Charlie Campbell
