any one that's read my past posts know i think it's DJ. guys that can change a game from the defensive side of the ball like a qb, wr or rb would don't come along often.

I agree. Derrick Johnson is a freak, and in my opinion every team that passes on him will regrit it. Even though we don't have a real need @ LB, I'd love to see us take him if he falls to us. Go Cards!!

How do we "not" have a need at LB? Other than Dansby who do we have? DJ I hope

excluding hayes who is unproven, those are all very average lb's, we shouldn't shoot for average.

I for one think Hayes is our MLB of the future and he'll have a break out season. I'm not "shooting for average", but we've got who we've got. I want us to draft DJ, but at the same time if we don't I think we can still get by with this group.

i agree hayes will have a breakout year and be here for a long time. i think we could manage to get by with macklin, hill (if he re-signs) and a few rooks for a year if it mean picking up a talent like dj, then go after a corner next year in the draft or maybe even in fa. these corners don't impreess me all that much rolle and rogers should be good but not worth passing dj and pac man is overrated in my book. not to mention the front seven of hayes, dansby, dj, berry, okefor, docket and a rotation of the other dt's will help out the pass coverage alot with that kind of pressure on the qb, good safety play in griffith and wilson too.

Mike Williams.

Figures, too, because this is the one draft where there's no way we take a WR in the first.

I'd have to go with either DJ or Matt Jones. DJ because he is 6'4" 242 lbs, runs a 4.5 40 and moves like a CB, but his toughness and instincts may actually be better than his measurables. Matt Jones, if given good coaching, and puts in the work will be a good to great WR in 3 yrs. The guy is an absolute freak.

Yes I agree, I love DJ but I'll be really surprised if Mike Williams isn't among the top 5 WR's in the NFL for a 6-8 year run.

People can talk all they want about not fast enough, not explosive enough, the bottom line is he's taller than Fitz, has a better vertical leap than Fitz, has comparable hands(I won't say better because Fitz has ridiculously good hands), is strong and uses his body in the air like a basketball player.

People forget what Williams did because he didn't play last year, against Auburn in the 2003 opener they doubled him ALL game, virtually every play, and he had 8 catches 104 yards, it was Leinart's first start and if USC hadn't won 23-0 they probably would have thrown Williams way a lot more. He just killed virtually everybody he played against for 2 years no matter what they did against him. Look at how well Colbert played last year for Carolina and remember Williams in 03 had 26 more catches and 7 more TD's than Colbert did on the same team.

I say Baas will be the most solid, but the best player I say will be Braylon Edwards.
