Clarence Farmer - RB, University of Arizona

I think this guy will go in the third round on a reach and be the best running back taken in the draft. This guy was a man amongst boys when he felt like turning it on at U of A. The NFL will bring out the competitor in him and he will shine.

Late Rounders

I prefer the late rounders like Reggie Wells who may make the team and actually contribute like:

OL Brit Lively 6'5"--320 Abilene Christian Texas A & M transfer

OL Larry Kinnard 6'7"'310 Mt. Union (small college champs)

Ohio St. transfer due to bad transcript

OL Corey Brown 6'5"-330 Virginia St.

DT Troy Maddox 6'2"-300 Delta St. Florida St. recruit

LB Phil Archer 6'2-245 Western Illinois

CB Tony Tiller 6'1"-190 ETSU shut down corner

CB Cha Cha Berry 5'-9"-185 Delta St. just like the name

CB Toure Carter 5'10"-185 Ashland 9 ints last year

he couldn't dominate with his size and athleticism in college and he sure as hell won't in the pros, he disappeared in big games

Kind of sounds like that running back, what's his name....Stephen Jackson I think it is? Have you heard of him? :D

No Jackson could dominate in college as long as it was against New Mexico St, Fresno St, New Mexico, Sacremento St, Stanford, etc

Look at their supporting casts. Williams has had nothing but support from the rest of his offense. Every year Texas is loaded with talent.
Meanwhile, Jackson ran behind one of the worst lines in football with no help at receiver or QB.

I think that makes him difficult to predict. We can't go by game tape on him then because against all good competition he didn't do much. How are we to know how good he'll be in the NFL? Late round picks often have awesome statistics against poor teams... What were Shipp, Scobey, and Anderson's numbers like against subpar competition?

I think probably the easiest way to go about this is simply to put every ounce of faith you have into whatever I say, type, or perform in interpretive dance. It's really less trouble in the long run.

I brought that guy up a few months ago and no one seemed to know anything about him.

Day1 Sleepers- Devard Darling, Keiwan Ratliff.

Day2 Sleepers- Jabari Greer, Clarence Farmer (I doubt Farmer goes Day 1, he's worth the risk in Round 6/7), Cordova.

Definitely Devard Darling. This guy is a very talented WR. He has size, speed, and pass catching ability. Any other year he would definitely be a top second round pick.

DT - Jordan Carstens

He is at least a second round talent and might be available in the 3rd or even 4th round.

Derek Abney

Abney (5-9 1/8, 176) ran the 40 twice for times of 4.52 and 4.50. He also had a 35-inch vertical, a 10-3 long jump, a 4.14 short shuttle, an 11.06 long shuttle and a 6.68 three-cone drill.

Derek Abney was a three-year starter at receiver and handled kick-return duties for the Wildcats.

Former Kentucky receiver Derek Abney will share his pre-draft thoughts with SI.com users as he prepares for the 2004 NFL Draft.

Derek Abney knew the stakes were high. Despite ending his career at Kentucky as the SEC's second all-time leading receiver, there are doubts concerning his relatively diminutive size. But despite his 5-foot-10, 175-pound frame, Abney wanted to make a statement at the NFL Scouting Combine.

"Actually, I'm pretty happy," says Abney. "I wasn't as fast as I wanted to be, but I'm still getting over a broken foot. I think I did well on my passing drills and in the interviews."

Ah, the interviews. One in particular caught Abney a bit off guard.

"When I met with the Browns, they had a psychiatrist in the room," he says. "I guess they wanted to see how I react under pressure. I wasn't taken too aback by that, but ... it was just different, I guess."

Abney admits the one-on-one interviews were something he'd been eagerly awaiting.

"Coming in, I thought there would be a lot of pressure, that the teams would put us under a lot of scrutiny. But everyone was really respectful. You hear all the stories about the Combine being kind of a meat market, but I was surprised that it wasn't as pressure-filled as I thought it would be."

Seeing players that he was familiar with helped ease some of the tensions. "I'd met Roy Williams and Shawn Andrews before, so it was good to see them again, and of course Jared [Lorenzen, UK's quarterback] was there, too.

"Everyone was encouraging to each other," adds Abney. "It was more of a 'team' kind of thing; it wasn't like a tryout or anything. I'd played against a lot of the guys at the Combine, so we all kind of had a mutual respect."

Abney finished with a 4.47 in the 40-yard dash and is considered a mid- to late-round prospect whose primary use would be a kick returner. Nonetheless, he is adamant about wanting the opportunity to catch passes at the next level.

"Yes, I think I belong, after my Combine workouts, I showed what I had," he says. "I'm extremely happy. Of course, when we did our pass-catching drills the Abney in me came out and I had to be the first guy to go -- and then I dropped the first pass.

"I think I dropped three balls total, but the first one was right over my head and I tried to catch it over my outside shoulder. I just missed it."

Later when the receivers did their individual routes, Abney and Lorenzen hooked up. "It was a fade route," recalls Abney, "and we just gave each other a subtle wink at the same time. I knew I'd catch that one."

Kentucky will hold its Pro Day on March 10, at which time Abney hopes to improve on his 40 time. "I didn't run it like I wanted to, but I'm hardest on myself. I still feel like I can be part of the rookie crew this year."

Derek Abney, who tied the NCAA career record for most kick-return TDs (eight) in a career, was a first-team All-America choice in 2002.

WR - Clarence Moore - NAU - I watched this guy play all year long and was amazed at his size and how well he uses it. 4.55 40, physicall, and dominated at that level of competition. Level of comp is a concern and although he dominated you can tell he is very raw, especially when it comes to routes, blocking, and the little things.

Intrigued.

Michael Turner turning out to be the best RB in the draft or 2nd best to Kevin Jones, although alot depends on where they're drafted. I think Stephen Jackson is going to be a poor mans Eddie George.

Devard Darling - already mentioned, but I gotta agree with this one, he could very well be in the top 3 in this draft class in regards to WR potential.

Also look out for DD Acholonu DE/OLB out of Wash St. wicked fast off the ball during pass rush. He might not be a sleeper anymore, but thought I'd mention him anyway.

Missed last season due to injury, but this guy is a great athlete and a big hitter and a good tackler (not two things that always go together). He's 6'1, 208 and runs a 4.65 40.

Every year a player gets selected that makes the other teams feel like jackasses for passing on him. Last year, the Cards got Boldin and made other teams feel pretty stupid for relying on that 4.65 forty time as the proof of his worth.

For the record here, which guy is going to slip and be picked much later than he deserves. I'm not talking a diamond in the rough but a player going in the late first round or a second rounder like Boldin which was a top ten pick.

I will go with Rashuan Woods of Okl. St. , this guy to me is the complete package. He catches anything that comes his way. He has vertical speed. He can deal with double teams and I feel he will be capable to be the bump at the line. He can find the openings in the zone. Some say he is short but that is only compared to the other guys in the draft, most CBs will still be shorter than him. Teams will feel bad for passing on this kid.

R Woods is a good choice but is rated to go in Round 2 let me list some real longshots.

QB: Lorenzen, Rislov, Dinwiddie

RB: Miree, Ward

WR: Luke, Parker, Abney

TE: C Anderson

T: Lekkerkker, Molinaro, Cavka

G: Hayes

C: Sigler

DE: Lot of tweener rush ends. Babin, Hilton.

DT: UT T. Johnson, Campbell. NT Siavii.

MLB: C Watson

OLB: Demmorio Williams.

CB: S Spencer.

S: G Wilson

Now for guys who could be steals:

QB: P Rivers

RB: G Jones and J Jones

WR: D Henderson, K Colbert

TE: J Peters and B Watson

T: Rogers, Wharton, Pape

G: Smiley and Snee

C: Stepanovich

DE: Laboy

DT: Tubbs, D Edwards, Sopoaga

MLB move to OLB: D Smith

OLB move to MLB: T Lehman

CB Ratliff

S Schweigert
