For Arizona that is?

Josh McCown?
Matt Leinart?
UFA? (example?)
Marcus Vick?

Please do not let it be McCown. Probably Warner with our 1st round pick being backup or one of the San Diego QB's. They cannot keep Rivers on the bench forever. Heck! Go ahead and trade our next years #1 for him now then San Diego can get Leinhart. I would not be surprised if we drafted #1 and selected Leinhart he would refuse to sign with us. If we end up winning 2 or so games it is going to hard to attract anyone new stadium or not. Does anyone think this team would perform better in a new stadium?

In the draft Vince Young or Whitehurst would be awesome if we are picking out of the top 5.

Marcus Vick

A very good friend of mine is the Asst. AD at Virginia Tech. He claims that Marcus Vick throws better than Michael at the same point in their collegiate career. He's just as fast also. The downside is that he reportedly is almost 3 inches shorter than Michael.

Plus he buys beer for 14 year olds and has them strip in his dorm room. What a great guy..... Maybe with our O-Line one of the girls' dads can get a free shot at him without going to jail.

I thought it was a joke when one of our posters suggested Leinart as a possible Card about a month ago. After the first three games, it's looking more realisitc.
Especially with McCown at QB.
I'm like most everone else at this point. A Cardinal fan whose really frustrated. This is the first game Rolle has not impressed. He's a tackler, but today he did not show the speed to keep up with fast and athletic WRs
Green's been building, but we need a lot more. QB, OLs, big DT or two. Ross was a good example of over evaluation and too much spent money. At this rate I do not see the new stadium being very filled next year. But, I'm still a Card fan forever.

Look at the bright side we can get good seats next year at the new stadium since its only us 30,000 diehards showing up.

Leinhart or at least 8-8.

Anything else is a total disaster of a season.

One of these two has the slight edge as of today...

I've been rooting for this sorry a$$ team for 45 years. Right about now I could give a rats behind about this guys past. Hell, let's hire Bill Clinton as a coach also.

I hate losing, but I hope Leinart is wearing red... There is some young talent on this team (that) needs a leader on the field and in the spotlight.

Bucky:

It'll never happen. If Matt Leinart has a senior year anything close to his last season, he'll be a consensus #1. And if the Cardinals have the first overall pick, they won't be able to resist the savings and multiple picks that would result from trading down.

Think about it. There'll be no shortage of teams eager to trade up for Leinart. And some smart GM will put together a package of draft choices and/or current players that'll have the Bidwills salivating at the chance to fill multiple needs and save some money. It'll be deja vu all over again.

Leinart will never be a Cardinal. Take it to the bank. :(

Drew Brees?
I was going to post the exact same thing. God, how I want it to be Leinhart, but alas, it'll be a FA QB.

Write it down: Drew Brees will be an Arizona Cardinal next year.

Why would San Diego pick Rivers over him though?

Brees was 19-22 last night for 2 TD's, I gotta believe they're keeping him and dumping Rivers.

I just meant the machinations of how and why things happen--Denny will do this/Denny won't do this, blah, blah, bah...

I'm all for say what fans think/want to happen, but the minutia of how is sorta crazy.

If we have a chance to draft Leinhart and trade or pass on this kid I will
never again pull for this team. That action will so the fans and the players
that management hasn't changed. I don't think that would ever happen.

I haven't seen Leinart play in a while (I will see him next week on ABC) and wonder if he is overhyped. I would assume he would be a good player if he's starting at USC, but the rest of that team is pretty good too. What about him makes people think he is a franchise QB and not simply a good player on a great team?

The real deal....Trust me, i have watched him play about ten games now and he is just phenomenol with his touch and pocket presence. and he has gotten better since last year. He def, has talent all around him, but watch where he throws the ball too on the most difficult passes to make.....and his touch is just incredible. I would go as far as to say he is better than about half the NFL QB's TODAY...... the thing everyone keeps saying is that he has "it"....you know what Brady has, that immerasurable intangible, he can see plays where others cant, much like Jordan, Nash, Montana, Gretzky and all the other transcendent player that come around once every ten years....I was also a big Carson Plamer supporter after i went and saw him play two or three time and as good as i think Palmer was, Matt is even better, he is a smart kid and will be able to read NFL defenses form day one.

Like bucky said, we pass on him, and im done with this team...that will just prove to me they have no intention of ever righting the ship...

John Madden on ESPN just said "There's nobody better than Tom Brady."

Funny that all 32 teams passed on him 5 times each a few years ago.
