It wont be Carthon.

Don't be at all surprised. Cleveland situation was a mess. Thought of very highly by Parcells. He is my guess, IF g-d forbid warner hangs it up i agree norm chow would be an interesting choice...

It won't be Shanny either no way, first of all he can't take a gig in the NFL next year or he loses the final year of his pay, like 7 million dollars, I wouldn't throw away 7 million dollars to be the OC of the Carindals I don't know abou tyou.

As a former running back, Maurice Carthon probably doesn't fit the bill (especially if Kurt returns). I just don't think he has enough knowledge of a sophisticated passing game.

Now if Kurt were to retire, then maybe Maurice would have a shot.

How about Russ Grim? those radio guys were mentioning him but Whiz would prolly do the play calling. I'm guessing playcalling is not Russ' forte.

Rob Chudzinski may be a decent fit. Cleveland struggled this year but last year they had a pretty good offense with Derek Anderson at the helm. QB play, dropped passes, and the slowest RB in the NFL did in their offense this year.

Chudzinski just got named San Diego's TE Coach/assistant head coach.

LOL@ Shanahan. The chances of one of us getting offered the gig are better than those of Shanny taking a Coordinator gig anywhere.

Cameron seems content as Baltimore's Offensive Coordinator. No reason for him to leave.

I love the idea of O'Brien. Doubt Whisenhunt goes out of the realm of people he's familar with though.

Here's who gets the job.. Calling it now, it will be one of these three coaches getting promoted:

Mike Miller (WR Coach) or Jeff Rutledge (QB coach), with Offensive Quality Control Coach Dedric Ward a distant possibility.

That's what I'm thinking too.. Miller or Rutledge... QC coach is hightly doubtful - not really any experience.

Either way, Whiz knew this was coming and has a plan.

Yeah, Ward is the most distant of the three possibilities I mentioned, but I wouldn't be surprised if he is at least in consideration.

What I really think is going to happen is that Miller's going to get promoted to OC and Ward promoted to WR coach.

That's just a guess, but I'd say it's the most likely scenario. Whis has been preparing for this since the moment he found out KC had interest in Haley.

Actually they made a weird statement this year that at the time didn't mean anything to me but was just odd and out of place.

They said he was very cerebral and knew all the plays in full not just what the line was doing, kind of hinting that he was fully capable of being an OC and Russ wants to be a HC so I gotta think that he might be tempted to try it as it seems to result in being a HC faster than when you're a line coach.

I have no idea who it should be, but I'd bet it will be Carthon. Who cares if he stunk in Cleveland, so did Belicheck.

Either way, I smell a some good offseason V-Bookies comin on.
