Ortiz he has been a major disappointment that is costing us 8 million a year. Bruney is cheaper and we could get rid of him easier.

This is the X factor in why I voted for Ortiz. He's decided to take a nose dive and suck AFTER Arizona invested a large contract on him.

Neither were as bad as Dessens though. That guy had the word SCRUB written all over him.

Ortiz should be arrested for stealing from the Diamondbacks. I would put his a$$ in the bullpen and if he does not like it, tough.

I wonder if they can get something for Bruney?

Love option #3.

Hey, Ortiz didn't steal squat from anyone - this lousy performance was considered extremely likely by nearly every stat-oriented baseball observer at the time. It was widely regarded as the worst off-season move in baseball. and he was GIVEN the keys to the treasure chest.

It was also considered real predictable a week ago after his abysmal 'rehab' starts that he'd implode early in his starts.

And if sending Koplove down rather than Bruney was the new interim GM's first solo decision, he's looking like a real genius, isn't he? Koplove had significantly better numbers on nearly every relevant stat than Bruney, AND Aquino, except K/9 IP and inherited runner percent (and he tied with Aquino on that).

Not to mention that Cormier has been used way too much recently. Bob Melvin must have been watching Brenly too much while he served as bench coach.
