Another week of TSSAA spring sports is in the books.
It's time to vote for the Jackson area boys athlete of the week using the image at the end of this story. Fans may vote once per hour until the poll closes at 5 p.m. on April 24.
Congratulations to Crockett County baseball's Grayson Lambert, who won last week's poll with 7,495 (41.7%) of 17,966 votes.
Here are this week's nominees for the Jackson area boys athlete of the week.
Zane Atwood, TCA baseball: Atwood drove in three runs on two hits, including a home run, in the Lions’ 16-3 win over Halls (4 innings).
Dylan Brauer, Bradford baseball: Brauer recorded 12 strikeouts in five innings of a 14-4 win over Middleton. He also recorded three hits and two RBIs in the win.
Cross Burgess, North Side baseball: Burgess drove in six runs on three hits, including a double, in a 17-8 win over Greenfield.
Luke Carter, Crockett County soccer: Carter netted a hat trick in the Cavaliers' 5-0 win over Haywood.
Ridley Clenny, Scotts Hill baseball: Clenny drove in four runs on two hits, including a double, in the Lions’ 8-5 win over Jackson Christian.
Trae Cobb, Clarksburg baseball: Cobb drove in four runs on two hits, including a home run, and earned the pitching victory in the Rockets' 17-1 win over Humboldt (3 innings).
Brady Cornelius, Middleton baseball: Cornelius drove in four runs on five hits in the Tigers’ 15-10 win over Fayette-Ware.
Wyatt Diffee, South Side baseball: Diffee drove in three runs on two hits, a home run and a double, in the Hawks' 5-3 win over Chester County.
Myles Halford, Gibson County baseball: Halford recorded four RBIs on two hits, including a triple, in the Pioneers' 9-3 win over Ripley.
Heath Hardin, Hardin County baseball: Hardin drove in three runs on two hits, including a double, in the Tigers’ 11-8 win over Adamsville.
Cooper Ingle, Adamsville baseball: Ingle drove in four runs on two hits, two doubles, in the Cardinals' 13-0 win over Liberty (5 innings).
Easton Jones, Jackson Christian baseball: Jones recorded four RBIs on two hits, including a grand slam, to lift the Eagles over Fayette Academy, 10-0 (5 innings).
Troy Joslin, Union City baseball: Joslin racked up 11 strikeouts in six innings of work in a 7-2 win over Gleason. He allowed one run on four hits in the win and drove in four RBIs on three hits in a 12-2 win in the first game over Gleason (5 innings).
Talon Messer, Dyer County baseball: Messer drove in four runs on two hits, including a double, in Dyer County's 14-5 win over Obion County.
Parker Morgan, Gleason baseball: Morgan piled up 12 strikeouts in six innings of a 10-6 win over West Carroll.
Gage Nesbitt, South Gibson baseball: Nesbitt piled up eight hits and five RBIs in five games, including a two-hit and three-RBI game in an 11-1 over Scotts Hill. Nesbitt also struck out eight batters in a pitching win over Dyersburg.
Connor Newberry, Riverside baseball: Newberry collected five RBIs on three hits, including a two-run home run and a double, in the Panthers' 16-0 win over Madison.
Case Perry, Dresden baseball: Perry recorded four RBIs on three hits in the Lions' 22-6 win over Lake County (5 innings).
Cooper Pierce, Gibson County baseball: Pierce struck out 12 batters in a complete game shutout in a 7-0 win against Tipton Christian Academy.
Braylon Rich, Huntingdon baseball: Rich drove in four runs on two hits, including a two-run home run in the Mustangs' 9-6 win over Waverly Central.
Ethan Schweer, Liberty baseball: Schweer drove in four runs on three hits and earned the pitching victory in the Crusaders’ 17-1 win over Humboldt (3 innings).
Cooper Sikes, USJ soccer: Sikes scored two goals and tallied an assist as the Bruins beat TCA, 5-1, for the Division II-A West District 5 championship.
Case Stone, McNairy Central baseball: Stone recorded four RBIs on three hits, including a two-run home run and a two-run double, in the Bobcats' 8-7 win over Hardin County (8 innings).
