I have a hard time believing we will run with PP7, Toler and [insert guy here] as our CB depth, especially with Horton being a secondary minded coach.

We've seen guys already snapped up though - like Jonathan Joseph who I was hoping we'd get. We've seen some WRs come into the division as well in Rice, and there are already good young receivers in the division we have to contend with.

So, again, I can't beleive we are stupid enough to roll with PP7, Toler and tagalong in this division.

What do we do?

I'm sure we'll find some broken down POS who nobody else wants. Graves has a real knack for that.

why not?

we went into last season running a 3-4 defense with a linebacking core consisting of an old man who was past his prime (porter), a rookie who had never proven anything (Washington), a guy who everyone that was supposed to just be camp fodder/st'er (Lennon) and depending on an aging guy with bad back problems to be out thumper (Hayes)... oh yeah... and a draft pick who had just blown out his knee 8 months earlier and a bunch of undrafted FA who had never shown any ability whatsoever.

that's EXACTLY what we're going to do.

Yes, but now we HAVE to spend money.

Dockett wants Antonio Cromartie

well like the song says "you can't always get what you want, but when you don't try you don't get what you need"... wait... those aren't the lyrics... unless you're a Cardinals fan.

we will spend it on more running backs and DT/DE considering that's where we actually have position of strength!

and don't fool yourself... the cardinals are going to find a way to make sure that Fitz and Kolb's contracts somehow take up ALL of our salary cap room ensuring we can't sign much of anyone else. you know this to be true.

LOL, I am picturing you right now doing vocal exercises like you are preparing to go on air, or singing the scale to warm up your voice for a performance. You are simply getting your darkside warmed up. Woohoo!

Is Peterson really gonna start at the beginning of the season? That's not what Whiz usually does with rookies.

This.

Don't we go through this every offseason? The front office is always eager to explain why we "don't have as much cap room as you might think."

Other teams stretch it to the limit and find ways around it; the Cardinals work hard finding ways to fill it up as quickly as possible.

He has no freaking choice here.

But even before a DRC departure, yes, PP7 would have started - they alluded as much.

Actually, I heard that Calais Campbell walked out of a position meeting to take a leak one time last year. Clearly he doesn't want to be a Cardinal and is a clear attitude problem in the locker room.

I'm thinking we'll trade him to Seattle for a supply of those "Large" beer cups that hold as much beer as a "small."

God, I just want to choke him when he adopts that schoolteacher voice and starts explaining why they don't have as much cap room as everyone thinks. I can feel it. It's coming. I can feel it in my soul.

You guys are good. I can feel the darkness welling up in me already, and I've only had darkside tendancies for a year or so.

we're not the leaders of the darkside for nothing! although, I was firmly a kool-aider for two years... hell, I guaranteed we'd go to the Super Bowl and bought tickets before we even played the Eagles... good thing I did too... it only reinforced the pain needed to bring the darkside back at a moment's notice! and here it is... for everyone's enjoyment.

And he'll be right after they sign Stewart Bradley to a $35 million contract, all guaranteed! :)
