1. Lebron from Ohio
2. Detroit needs a shooter - Melo
3. Darko - Denver does not need more big men, but he is the best - could take TJ Ford

1. lebron
2. Darko (detroit needs scoring, not shooters, darko is a very good post scorer/ face up shooter according to reports)
3. Melo (denver needs scoring from the perimeter, plus he is a consensus top 3)

Draft experts predict
1. James
2. Anthony
3. Milicic

I tend to agree because Detroit has a low post option in Wallace, and they don't need two post players. They are getting killed against NJ because they have only one scorer on the team. They need two scorers, thus Anthony will go number two. From what I saw in highlights on Milicic during the lottery, those moves won't fly against NBA shot blockers. I guess we will see. I am still putting my money on Melo to be the ROY of the three.

Well, I'll be, ESPN has Darko going at two. You may be right, but I still think it may turn out to be Melo at number two. What does Detroit need another plow horse for? They are being run off the court by NJ. They need some speed in their lineup. I guess we will see what the Detroit GM will do.

Have to disagree with you again... Wallace is not a low-post option. Heck, he's not even an option, period! If there was an entry in the dictionary under one-dimensional player, you'd see Ben Wallace's picture. He's an awesome defensive player--and I'd love to have him--but he is one of the worst offensive players I've ever seen.

Haven't you seen Wallace's beautiful midrange jump shot? :)

Denver has to be happy because they will get the man they want, Carmelo Anthony. That is a great fit for him.

Hilarious. IM reading all these threads, and thinking to myself. How do they know Denver will get Carmelo. And Doesn't Memphis keep thier pick if its No1? Then it it me. The lottery was last night. I suck.

Detroit is said to be leaning to Milici because of the emergence of Tayshaun Prince. They have to weigh drafting Anthony to compete with Prince against drafting Darko who may allow Wallace to move to PF(although Darko is NOT a C by most accounts).

I suspect they'll take Darko.

I feel sorry for Carmelo although the Nuggets could be improved if they're able to sign Arenas. If not he's going to a really bad team.
