I saw them at the Anaheim Convention Center in the 60's. One of my first concerts. They were third or fourth on the bill behind Herman and the Hermits, the Sundowners and Strawberry Alarm Clock. I still laugh when I think about that.

My first concert was Canned Heat/3 Dog Night in El Paso...lol

The Who IMHO is one of the Top Rock bands of all time taking into account the impact they had on RocknRoll.
Beatles
Rolling Stones
The Who
Led Zepplin
Pink Floyd

I saw the Who in late 64 or early 65 in Salisbury, England. The Kinks and Troggs had already played City Hall but the Who had not quite broke out yet played a smaller venue. I will say to this day it was the loudest band I have ever seen. Hard to believe their still rocking after all these years. Looking forward to this halftime show.

If they want older but still relevant rock bands, then they should go with a band like R.E.M.

Or a halftime of the Foo Fighters or Stone Temple Pilots would be alright with me.
