Who would you rather face in the playoffs?

I've been wanting to post this for a while, and now that it's pretty much 1/2 way through the season for most teams I figure now is as good a time as any. Of course teams can get hot (and cold) and the standings will most likely change, but right now here are the west seeds.

1. San Antonio
2. Phoenix
3. Seattle
4. Sacramento
5. Dallas
6. Los Angeles (Lakers)
7. Memphis
8. Houston

I don't think I would mind being matched up against Memphis. Fratello has them playing really well, and they have an athletic front line (Battier, Gasol, Swift, Right). They are only averaging 93.8 ppg, but also only give up 90 ppg. I don't think they can really run with a healthy Suns team over a 7 game series.

I definitely think we could beat Houston, Seattle, and possibly Sacramento. For some reason (call it history) I'm very leary of playing the Lakers in the first round. I don't see Seattle, Sacramento, or Dallas sliding into the lower half of the seeds, but a Phoenix vs. Dallas playoff series would be fun.

Who would you like / hate to face in the playoffs?


Edit: I've been pretty active on the boards lately. This is my 258th post! Of course that's in over 2 years on the board even though I check in a couple of times a day. Compare that with jibikao who has 512 posts after just joining last month!

let's see what the first round brings us, we were always a difficult team for anyone to play in the playoffs, and this time it should be even more fun.

let's see how we tweak our roster and we can play anyone from SA to LAL

Spurs then Heat - two tough teams I'd like the Suns to beat

1. San Antonio - Dont want to play them until we HAVE to (ie: West Conf. Finals)
2. Phoenix
3. Seattle - Dont mind playing them - although they are tough
4. Sacramento - Dont mind playing them - think we could beat them
5. Dallas - Dont mind playing them - that would be a FUN series
6. Los Angeles (Lakers) - Dont want to play them - they just match up well with us
7. Memphis - Dont mind playing them
8. Houston - Dont mind playing them

There are really only two teams I fear: the Spurs and Lakers

I think the T'Wolves will eventually catch up and make the playoffs... And they are also a team I am a bit scared off. I also believe that either the Lakers or Memphis will miss the playoffs.

I agree. I also agree with whoever said that the Timberwolves would be a bad match up. I'll be shocked if they don't end up in the playoffs. The other team that scares me more than some of the other possibilities is Denver. They've got a ways to go to get into the playoffs, but I would honestly rather face the Lakers than them.

i'm not nervous about the lakers we've already beat them twice and both times kobe has dropped a triple double on us. i dont think that we could survive another one though. but i think that we can handle just about everyone but spurs do make me nervous.
