I say Wilson. The dude has been loyal to this team. He seems to give 100% every play as well. When we were a "bad" team Wilson still said he wanted to be a Cardinal and signed for a decent amount. He is a big part of our defense as well. I'm more worried about keeping him than keeping Q.

Wilson's suffered through more crap as the longest-tenured Cardinals.

Give him his retirement contract.

Work on Boldin after that.

Its a matter of logistics.

We can only work with Dansby on a deal until this July. So he is first.

Wilson only has one year left on his deal, so he is #2.

Boldin has 2 years left on his deal so unfortunatly he is #3 on the contract depth chart.

Once July Rolls around and Dansby is either done or not done then Wilson moves to #1 on the list and Boldin to #2.

Wilson.

He has stuck by this team whilst playing everygame like it counts and cant wait for him to get another pay day and a get a step nearer to being a one team player for life. Q's time will come.

Easy question. Wilson.

Boldin has 2 years left on his contract plus our option to slap the franchise tag on his ass and then discard him after that.

As for Dansby I don't think he has any intentions of signing a contract with the Cardinals without exploring offers in free agency. I say we use up his last year here and move on as franchising him a 3rd year in a row is not an option given the cost to do so. I also don't trust Dansby to perform after receiving his payday.

I agree with you about Dansby, DieHard! I don't trust him at all. Sign Wilson to a deal so he retires a Cardinal, sign Boldin at the end of the 09-10 season, like right the f### now after the season, before March,'10; and let Dansby go.

Wilson, then Boldin. For numerous reasons stated above.

And on what do you base that lack of trust? There is no history to indicate that Dansby would do that.

Now given that the Cards had to franchise Dansby again there may be something to the assertions that Dansby wants to go play somewhere else.

Some people thought that Fitzgerald wouldn't play anymore once he got paid and with Dennis Green being gone. We all saw how that worked out.

Without a doubt Wilson. Our secondary is awful when he isn't playing and he is the heart of our defense. As it's been said he took less money to stick with this franchise and he definitely deserves to be repaid for it. I've only bought one Cardinals jersey and it just so happens to be #24. A-Dub is the man and I hope he retires in red and white.

I agree with this as well. All I have heard from Dansby is 'show me the money" and thanking Calvin for raising the FA money bar, but there has been no indication that I have seen that he doesnt want to play in AZ.

If he thinks he can get a better deal with another team, thats one thing, but I dont believe there are any bridges burned. Cards give him the right offer, he will stay.

Maybe we should ask Rod Graves this question, since he is the one that always says he wants player X to be extended, yet seems slow in getting them done. :mulli::bang:

Once again Joe, you're the voice of reason. If we don't get Dansby done by July he's as good as gone next year.

I want Boldin, Wilson and Dansby all on this team. If Dansby was on the poll I would not vote for him just yet because to re-sign him it would take all season with his position at the present. I wanted to say Boldin to end this whole ordeal and kill the constant irritating trade rumors But in the end one has to say Wilson, he's playing out his contract and those loss of words and tears when they won the championship put in less than a minute what he had gone through with years of losing and giving his all, therefore I would like to see the FO give him all their attention first. No, I do not need Boldin in tears to support Q who played for us in pain but it would have been nice to see Boldin appreciate that win removed from his problem with the frontoffice and appreciated that win with the guys who shed some blood with him too on the field removed from the ink he had shared with the FO a couple of years back...you know, with the contract he signed :)

Q.

Strictly for practical reasons.

Q's situation is more timely, topical and potentially more divisive, and therefore something that should be cleaned up ASAP.

A-Dub and Dansby deserve re-do's, but the impression I get is that they are more willing to wait a little longer (& besides, Dansby was tagged - it's not as though he's destitute, salary-wise).

I just feel that - all things considered - the Cardinal locker room would be happiest if Q was done first (and quickly).

Note - When it comes to professional sports, I'm not into moral outrage. There's a lot of money out there (with lots of people running around trying to get as much of the pie as they can get). I can't get very upset about anyone having to do without their 3rd or 4th Escalade at a time when so many people are out of work. My focus, therefore, is on "what's in the best interest of putting a Super Bowl team on the field" and not who feels they got screwed out of how many dollars. These guys have expensive high-profile agents. Let them work it out.

Wilson is the one guy on our defense we can't seem to play well without. I have seen the offense play well without Boldin.

Add in the other stuff stated and it just adds to the logic of signing Wilson first.

Wilson comes to play everyday and gives it his all. He is still a very good saffety and a loyal player to the team. Sign him. He has not only earned it he deserves it.
