Wowza.

Well, I think it is easier to find a LB then it is a DT. Plus the old cliche it all starts up front.

Got to go with Dockett, but with no disrespect to Dansby.

Because of the position he plays, Dockett.

Dansby is a complete stud though.

I was fairly disappointed with Dockett's performance on Sunday, I truely thought he was going to dominate

poll

I chose Dansby. I think he has a much higher ceiling. I love Dockett but until he proves he can stop the run he's only an average player. His pass rush skills are good, but the Cards need a run stuffer at the under tackle.

Dansby is quickly becoming a great player. He's clearly the most athletic player on the defense and really has no weaknesses. He should put up big numbers in this defensive system, especially if the Cards can stop the run and force the pass.

I'll have to go with Dansby. When a LB can Cover a TE and RB,Can rush the passer and can play all 3 downs then Dansby is my pick. Dockett is also a stud but he needs to learn more moves and get better leverage IMO.

I vote Dockett. While Russell Davis had a solid season last year, I believe he
being singled in blocking schemes will hurt # 90's performance this season.
Which player scares you the most is going to get more attention.

The UT postion isn't designed to be a 'run stuffer' postion really. The UT job is to penertrate and cause disruption. Dockett needs to be more disciplined, but his agression is what makes him so sucessful at UT.

The upgrade we need is at NT. Davis is solid, but not quite the force we need to make this line elite.

But in answer to the poll, Dockett would be more valuable. Without a push up the middle it is very hard to be effective on defense.

Dansby is an absolute man child though. He reminds me of Keith Bulluck of the Titans. He is tall, fast and has the speed to cover elite TE's as well as blitz.

I agree it is generally easier to get a LB than a good DT, but frankly Dockett hasn't done anything since some small flashes his rookie year.

Gotta keep Dansby!

since dockett isn't very good it's an easy call. he has to show me something before i would even consider him.. seriously the poll should be who should start w/ clancy..either dockett or moore.. my vote goes to moore, & i bet that green is about a game or 2 away from figuring that out.

I would start Moore and then rotate Watson... Dockett should only see the field on passing downs.

Like Joe said, if the team is to succeed in the long term it must be defined in the trenches.

A breakout player like Dansby can play a huge role, so as stated (again by joe) no disrespect to the man who can standout as a Sam, but if the men in the front aren't stopping diddly, what good is it going to do?

Dansby has the ability to be a big play guy. He can turn a game around on 1 play. Player like that are hard to find. Up till know Dockett has not showed us the ability to be an absolute stud in the middle. Not great against the run and not great at penetrating. If you are a good DT , you excel at one or the other. If you are a premier DT you do both very well. Dockett, to this point, does not fall into either catagory.
Dansby , hands down.

I voted for Dansby but it was a close call for me because I do agree with the trenches argument.

On this team at this time I feel far better about the Dline unit as compared to our LB's. We have a playmaker at RDE and a solid player at LDE. I also like our depth at DT and if Dockett doesn't pan out then Watson, Moore and or Lewis will step up.

At LB Hayes shows a lot of promise but after that no difference makers. Dansby has show he can be that player and every unit needs one.

Actually the poll should be who starts next to Dockett-- Moore or Watson?

I don't think Clancy is an upgrade at all over RDavis as many claimed.

So I'm going to watch some dvr today and focus on Clancy to make sure.
