I just like watching to see what unbelievable way they're going to lose next. It's also gotten to the point where it's become a hobby predicting what outlandish event is going to occur on the next play.

Other than that I've been following them since the 1960's so no reason to give up now.

Me too. When we were pinned down on the 2 yd line I said to my Son, "Heres where Warner throws a pick to cost us the game."
How stupid of me not to think of a fumble in the end zone!

LOL

As Warner was getting wrapped up in the endzone I said: "A safety. How Cardinal. Why didn't I think of that." and then Warner dropped the ball and spoiled it.

I turned to my cousin the second I saw the flag thrown and said we're going to lose on a safety on first down. He said I was crazy... then it happened and he just looked at me, just completely incredulous. I just nodded my head.

I said the same thing to my wife as they lined up for that first down play.

She said shut up, you're so negative.

She apologized, I just sighed.

I wasn't even emotional, it was matter of fact.

These things have an erie pattern to them, it's like they're........ nevermind.

That's what I was going to say. I wanna see whats going to happen next. I've been a fan since the 70'S no there is no hope for me. But the worst thing is I have now done this to my wife and kids.

International House of Pancakes had paper placemats with different NFL teams on them back in 1971. My placemat had the Cards. Somehow this fateful event has fused my very soul to their misfortunes. My brothers, who got Lions and Vikings placemats were somehow immune to their powers.

Because there might be a small chance I see either Rackers or Barr on the street one day and I can kick one them in the nutz and look them in the eye and say "Now we are even.....and for the record that is how you hit your target"

Besides that ?

Because I put all my efforts into following this team and have done so for a long time. After all the time and effort I put into it, they are the only team that I am 100% interest on how they do.

Plus with free agency, parady and all that it takes a HUGE effort to suck year after year. Which we all know this cruddy organization does very well.

The only thing that is REALLY positive about this horrible team is that it is slowly draining my love for the football from me. I love the game of football, but since my main focus is the Cardinals tho it slowly has become something that has more bad points and events then good. The people that get to tailgate at the games, and enjoy each other's company at least get that enjoyment and that is great.

When I finally stop paying for the NFL ticket will be the day I could care less about football, and if that happens I thinkt the Crudnals will go with it.

I hope that doesn't happen and I don't think it will happen but hope has been a dark nasty word in a Cardinals' fan's vocabulary and history has shown this organization can't do anything right.

Well, I haven't seen it on TV (and was too far away at the game), so I have no idea if this is even possible or not, but could Warner have dropped it on purpose? I mean, if he was getting sacked--he KNOWS it's a safety & game over. If he drops it, then there's at least a CHANCE a Card picks it up and we breathe to see another play.

Just askin'. There's a tiny, itty bitty drop of Kool-Aid in my cup.

I actually mentioned that in a couple of different threads. It sure looked like it to me but I just couldn't watch the ending again last night to check out my theory. I'll try again this evening.

Sorry! I haven't seen it anywhere else...just too much to read in here. Please do look at it again & let me know. I'd much rather we lost on a "veteran gamble" than a "veteran snafu" (even though the ball shouldn't have still been in his hands at that point, anyway).

I don't know why you are, but I respect that you still are. It takes intestinal fortitude to stick with a team through years and years of this kind of crap.
