Why did not Cards trade for Dan Bailey?

With 40 something Dawson, why could not Keim give up u a 5th rounder to get Bailey and secure the future? Unless Bailey is injured or something we don't know about, Keim needs to wake up.

It is because he was being paid 3+ million dollars per year and he was no longer performing to the level of his contract. by his own admission bailey is out of sorts mentally after his injury last year. he missed some kicks against seattle last year that really hurt their chances in that game. I hope bailey finds another team. He can really help someone if he gets his game back because he was money between 40-50 especially with the game on the line. I was shocked by this news, but when you take a step back it makes sense.

A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush... never seems that way in the NFL. I'm not saying the kicker that is being talked about is all that anymore but if we think he was I would pull the trigger.

I think dallas actually drafted bailey somewhere in the 5th or 6th if I recall. He is definitely worth that when he is on his game. I don't think he is hurt anymore it appears that he has just lost his confidence with the injury knocking him out of rhythm. a fresh start could see him back to form.
