The throw and catch were cool and it's just one of those things Russell Wilson does to you.

What made it a big play was Bethea flopping around like a moron and not contesting the catch or tackling Baldwin for a 10 yard gain, which is all it should have been.

That play was what makes the NFL great. Under duress from Jones and Mathieu, Wilson throws up a prayer and connects. Sucks it was us, but that was an awesome play.

Wilson does the repeatedly & repeatedly against Big Red! It just goes to show you if you relax against him for 1 play he can beat you with that 1 mistake.

Baker Baker the touchdown Maker I say!!! :moon:

That was actually a really dumb play by Wilson. Very risky throw that wasn’t accurate at all. had he slipped on the scramble, he’s sacked for about a 20 yard loss. Additionally, had Bethea not slipped, that’s an interception. More wrong could’ve happened than right in that situation. Seattle is very fortunate.

As Lou Brown would say, “Nice play; don’t ever f**king do it again.”

That play should have been nothing but a time eater. It was what, 2nd and 21 or something like that? Baldwin makes the catch and gets pushed out of bounds and makes it 3rd and about 10 is what it looked like or at least Bethea slaps the ball away as it was up for grabs. Instead, Bethea falls on his can giving Baldwin nothing but green in front of him. That's where the game changed.

Honey Badger and Chandler Jones pose ZERO threat to a QB like Wilson outside of the pocket.

Then it comes down to old man Bethea vs Baldwin... Um yea I'm going to give that advantage to Baldwin

This game was still extremely close besides that play if not for dumb special teams & coaching. Let's not forget Hump, Branch & Momah all went down & likely done for season smh

He will do it again. He's done it over and over. That was was completely typical (gag) Russell Wilson playing. Nothing new, nothing strange... luck involved ? of course, but somehow he has 'good' luck about 90% of the times he does it... Seattle is NOT very fortunate, we suck badly... our first TD was the result of a 4 in a row, penalty resulting in our first down, err fest by their D. And they still won... we are simply bad... is Seattle that good ? NO, not anymore, but we ARE THAT BAD

When he does it repeatedly it's a trend. He's done this same type of thing almost every game against Big Red & killed us doing it over & over!

Dumb or not, it was the back breaker & it worked...again :madarms::bang::madarms: He's more very good than lucky!

Baker baker the touchdown maker in Cardinal red in 2018 I say & we will have our own version.

How many times do you see Aaron Rodgers do this type of thing? Hmmmm time to give Wilson his due, he's pretty damn good TJ

Wilson is the closest thing to Rodgers in terms of adlibing ability and wow-plays. He does something like that every week. I don't know how he doesn't miss time with his playing style.

Yeah, that is Wilson for you. But, of course, just because God blesses him because he treasured his virginity, Our CB who is right there can't manage go up and contest for the ball, but instead trips and falls on his rear.

Aaron Rodgers is also a much better overall QB than Wilson, especially in terms of threading the needle. I trust Rodgers to buy time and find the small window in which to throw. See the Jared Cook game saving catch against the Cowboys in the playoffs last season.

For all intents and purposes, the Wilson play was not good. The ball was off target, Wilson was about 20-25 yards behind his own LOS, and Bethea was there to make a sure-fire interception had he not slipped. Wilson wasn't in a desperation situation in which he needed to make a lucky throw to win the game. He should have thrown the ball out of bounds at that point. Even with Wilson's Houdini acts, if you run that same play nine more times, it ends up as an incompletion, sack or interception each time.

Tip my cap to him, but he was very fortunate that Baldwin was able to get tall and catch that football, after Bethea fell.

Because he's smart..... He left 20-30 easy yards on the field if he doesn't hit the deck in self preservation.
Take away his prayer to Baldwin, I think we played him better than any other game I can recall.

Bethea slipped & Baldwin had to leap in the air & barely caught the ball. An inch higher & he doesn't catch it. It was a lucky play on their part. The field looked like crap on tv. Don't know what's going on with that.

They made the play that's all that matters, it's not like we haven't seen him do this before

BECAUSE IT SCREAMS FOR ALL CAPS!!!! :)

This makes this post, awesome.

Actually, when it comes to poor performances on national TV, this doesn't even make the top 10.......maybe not even the top 25.

It was close, and we have 1/2 of a team on the field with all the injuries.

Wilson a good job keeping the play alive. Bethea falling turned it from disaster to deciding the game. Hawks were reeling on offense at that time.
