Why does ESPN constantly schedule games with not enough time in between?

This stuff is so irritating the finals of the CBE classic are supposed to start at 7 tonight, UCLA and Michigan State, on ESPN2. At 4 there's a football game on ESPN2, Middle Tenn St and Troy. When was the last time a college football game ended in 3 hours?

There is a game Missouri/Maryland on before the UCLA game so maybe that runs a bit late but since I don't get ESPNU or any alternate ESPN my guess is the football game runs long and we miss the start of the title game. This happened last week with the game against San Bernardino and UCLA and happens all the time on ESPN because of the way they schedule games.

They are the worst. I cant count the number of Lakers games I've tuned into on the back of a doubleheader with 6 minutes remaining in the first quarter.

Apparently Michigan State's Drew Neitzel has flu like symtoms so his status for the game tonight is up in the air.

There's some discussion he'll play but they don't know how long he'll be able to go.
