its been enough time to reflect on the season. Other teams have dropped the axe on their deadweight and problems.

I WILL NOT GO QUIETLY INTO THE NIGHT ON THIS!

Who is getting the pitchforks?
Who is getting the torches?
When do we storm HQ?

Cause he is under the wings of bruce arians
Issues were not depending on great coaching but the result of bad execution

BA has stated repeatedly that Amos is not the problem and said that several key ST's players were injured which is why ST's struggled. I will be shocked if Amos is fired at this point.

I was hoping we would hire Rams ST's coach Fassel sp? if he is let got but again, BA isn't firing Amos.

They should promote Jones to consultant and I like hiring Fassel.

If he was going to be fired, it would've happened already. A lot of moves are done prior to the Senior Bowl to allow the fired coaches to meet new perspective employers down in Mobile. The combine is also another place coaches look for work. Plus, I'm sure the Cards have already done their assessment of the coaches and the previous year.

Could be that Coach is right and it ain't on Amos as much as it is injuries and the players. Yeah, but that excuse is only good for one year. We've all watched in horror as this debacle unfolded the last couple of seasons and we just don't get it...

Sometimes you gotta take a bullet for the team... Change the Chi, Align the Chakras, Use JuJu, Voodoo, Witchcraft, Circumcision, Exorcism, Laying on of Hands, Let the Axe Fall, Status Quo Gotta Go, Speak in Tongues, Take Communion, Hindu Puja, The Ol' College Try, Fast.. Ramadan is coming in a few days,

Show me a little sumpin' sumpin', fer cryin' out loud!

While BA wants to make it about snaps and kicks-- or ST guys on IR this year-- it ignores a few things:

Amos got to pick his long snappers to replace Leach-- and he picked two rookies who hadn't snapped before. That's on him.

It ignores the other aspects of ST that haven't been good:
The total unpreparedness for Seattle jumping the center-- something they had done before

The terrible KO returns - Kent Somers often questioned why other teams wouldn't always kick short to the corner as the Cards seemed totally unprepared for it and started inside their 20 every time.

Finally: Over four years the Cards have had 6 punts blocked while blocking 1. A -5 over that time is terrible

Our ST under Whisenhunt was 10,000 times better than under Arians. And it is on Amos, the blocking scheme doesn't work, no adjustments and so on.

But BA is showing Stubborness and ... the team payed this year and will probably pay next year for it.

The problem that I have with it is, that you can't preach accountability but you keep acountable only a few of them ... that doesn't work, that destroys the looker room and the team.

BA's blind loyalty and stubbornness makes him a pretender. All his rhetoric about All or Nothing is a smoke screen and unctuous propaganda. He and his staff got outcoached in the majority of the Cardinals' games this year, coming off an embarrassing loss in last year's playoffs.

There is no way the Cardinals are ever going to win a Super Bowl with BA as HC, with JB as DC, with AJ as STC and with CP at QB. Arians is too arrogant, Bettcher is too green (not his fault), Jones is far too incompetent and Palmer is too careless about the number one priority on a football team: ball security.

Lost in the conversation is the question: Isn't poor execution a function, at least in part, of poor coaching.

Bottom line - The position coach is responsible for the output of his unit or units. To simply say that "it's not the coach, it's his players" sets up Amos and the Cardinals to accept the status quo but expect different results.

To restate this whole issue more positively: What specific changes are BA and Amos planning to turn things around on ST's?

bad execution is part of the coaching process

dont u think using kerwynn williams as a main blocker of our punter is a poor coach decison?

You know, if special teams costs us games next season, it could mean Arians' job. The only possible reason I can figure for Amos sticking around is that BA absolutely put himself out there for him. If it screws us--and, really, does anyone think we're going to improve under Amos?--it could easily screw Arians out of a job.

First: to answer the thread title question: it could very well be that contractually, Arians has final say on his staff

Re: the above -- if they lose a game early next year due to a special teams miscue, things heat up quickly for BA. I'm thinking more than just a missed kick ( that happens) -- punt return or a blocked kick, etc.

The first time someone times the snap count and jumps the line to block a kick, Amos is gone.

Well if they did this I'm not sure I'd really want to know about it... Especially on Instagram lol

Don't be so squeamish... I included circumcision as to not offend any Jewish members, since I had referenced Christian, Fundamentalism, Hindu, Islam, African traditions, Rednecks, etc.:)

PS. I will take the blame for being so uneducated in Jewish traditions that circumcision was all I could come up with without more research, ha!

Edit to add: Fire Amos

Edit to add again: Zen...chill,my bother, chill

That's probably it.

Blocked kicks happen as well but unless this team has another losing season I think BA is Teflon, nothing is going to stick to him.
