Our defense sucks really bad.

No one can argue with that. But, how many D's in the league could lose a 1st ballot HOFer on one side & a former All Pro on the other & not suffer serious consequences? I'm looking forward to PP21"s return & hopefully we see Alford at some point this season.

I've seen this video in the past, so not going to re-watch, but I do think that the Air Raid is the future of the NFL. However, part of my feeling there is just that the NFL is going to have to adapt to it because there won't be enough players playing the pro scheme anymore (and not enough time to teach), not that the offense in and of itself is that dominant.

I'm not sold on Kliff, but I'm not against him either. I would have personally gone a different direction than we did, which is going to continue to be a challenge on my end until he steps up and proves different.

I would prefer to hit the ol' cosmic reset button come end of season, but I doubt it will happen, so in the meantime, I will root for KK to "get it" when he didn't in college.

Trent Dilfer mentioned that Kliff needs to figure out NFL protections and run action.

Air Raid can work if figure those things out. The problem is Kliff didn't figure it out in college and simply relied on Mahomes/Manziel caliber QBs just figuring it out themselves. I do seem him trying to adjust, the problem is this is like the first time ever he's adjusted so there's a learning curve.

Guys like Lincoln Riley and even Mike Gundy sort of figured out the run action/protection deals. Say what you will about Chip Kelly his offense worked (no it wasn't Air Raid, but..) because he figured out the run game. Chip's ego is what doomed him. Kliff doesn't seem to have that problem. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing the level of play calling from him either.

I believe Kliff can turn it around...but he's going to need a lot of help from the GM and alter his philosophy even more.
