nope

Max has skills but He's never seen a playoff caliber defense with a game plan.

Da seen it with Lewis running 1300+ yards and Edwards, And Hes seen them without a top running back too!

Max reminds me of Plummer, exciting as all get out but playing well out of panic, thats how you end up needing a Hero, like Kurt. Drew Brees He is not yet but there is hope.

Skeltons Sports science predraft show was impressive. Don't rule him out yet, I wish him a long drawn out career, shooting stars burn out quick.

A bit of a trolling question I think. But, the fact of the matter is that the simple answer is he is a rookie. An undrafted rookie at that.

I like the kid and am glad he is on the team. I think as a back up he has the chance to keep preparing himself to maybe step in as the starter when DA's contract is out after 2 years. He is simply not ready yet to be a starter in the NFL. He would get killed.

I'm not sure that he will ever be a great starter in the league, but he has enough of "it" to maybe be very good. Just not yet.

I know he's Danny White's relative, he went to BYU and there is a great contingent of fans of that school on the board. But, take a deep breath, take off the homer glasses and see him for what he is today....a raw talent with some potential but no way in Hades has he proven he is ready to start and lead an NFL team to success.

Just my 2 cents worth. Not worth much, I know.

mr White was a great QB from AZ for alot of years without a championship. probably the most underated QB in history for what he did. but overall the COWBOYS STILL SUCK! I hope the cards destroy them for a XMAS present. cause I bet 10 pushups per point difference with a cousin, I may never catch up after We changed divisions. I'm hundreds if not thousands of pushups in the red!

...........But it sure was nice to score with her in the pre-season. So you keep her number in your back pocket in case you need her later, and you send the girl who wouldn't cross the line on the first bus to Houston........

I would start him just to feed the legend, have him throw like 6 TD passes, perfect QB rating, win the game then retire.

The legend would be in cement then.

Aside from being a rookie and everything that goes with that. He did not play with the first team or against first team defenses in preseason. We have a veteran QB who has played in the NFL at a high level and has been playing with the starters most of preseason.

That said Anderson needs to make the most of it or Max will be playing at some point this season.

Please define "high level"

Why would Hall start against NFL first teamers now? His reputation and legacy are growing without ever throwing a regular season pass. If I were his agent I'd tell him to fake an injury so he wouldn't have to go in at all. By this rate in three years, he'll command Manning money without ever throwing a pass.

I like it, then in 3 years we could fleece somebody in a trade like San Diego did to the seahags.

Max will play this year. One way or another. Then we will see what happens. My money is on him.

Well let's hope that if he does it is because the Cards are ahead 31-7 in the 4th quarter.

I understand going with Derek Anderson the team simply did not believe in Leinart. But starting a quarterback that has a career quarterback rating of 69% and a completion percentage last year of around 42% isn't much different than starting a rookie IMO. Hopefully Ken Whisenhunt & Co. can bring out what he had a few years ago. But if we get what he has shown the last couple of seasons Maximus hall would definitely not be any worse.

I think the bottom line answer is that the coaches believe that DA gives us the best chance to win the game on Sunday.

But don't underestimate how high everyone is on Hall. Remember Peter King's big write up on Hall in his MMQB column?

So what's also an interesting question is how quick of a hook will the Whiz have for DA (i.e. at what point would he pull DA in favor of Hall)?

I don't think a single 3 int half would do it, but the 2nd one might.

If DA struggles (say, a QB rating of less than 70) all the way to the break. It's possible Hall could start game six against the hags.

Why shouldn't my neighbor's 2-year old kid perform brain surgery?

When you say it that way, the idea of starting an undrafted rookie Quarterback does seem fairly absurd. However, if you consider that our other option is a blind gorilla from the local zoo even the absurd idea starts to gain merit.

Because he isn't 25 and didn't just graduate from a University where he spent 4 years studying brain surgery and graduated cum laude?

Why shouldn't Max Hall be our Opening day Starter...!!! I would like to hear some real good reasons why he really should not start...!!!

BOBCAT
:)

1. He is a rookie.

2. He has been playing against guys that are now out of a job, or on a practice squad.

3. While he looked good, he still made some bad decisions, and bad throws.

4. He has only thrown 20 passes.

5. Our head coach who has yet to have a losing season with the Cardinals says Anderson is our guy for now.

And those are just off the top of my head.

I don't think we should start him but am I the only one worried about this whole thing? IF the only reason he excelled in preseason games is that he was facing non-NFL caliber players than WHY did he excel in practice when facing our defense? If that truly says more about our defense than it does about Max Hall we're going to be in for a very long season.

I, too am more worried about the defense living up to their hype than whether Hall even sees the field

I don't think that anyone is saying that it is the only reason why he excelled. They are saying that he only played against backups in a game situation so it probably wouldn't be wise to assume that that automatically translates to success against firsts. There is a reason why Whiz is high on him and it isn't just the preseason games.

We could throw him out there now but there would be a curve. If DA gives us the best chance to beat the Rams then that is who should start. If Hall gave us the best chance I do believe that Whiz would start him.
