Kyle Shanahan and the San Francisco 49ers entered the preseason with some serious expectations. Jimmy Garoppolo was coming off a tremendous conclusion to the 2017 campaign, seeing himself rewarded big time with a huge contract. In his second offseason as the 49ers' head coach, Shanahan teamed up with fellow sophomore GM John Lynch to build what seems to be a dynamic offense. Certainly, it starts with Garoppolo. That doesn't mean the power duo is not high on the backfield tandem of Jerick McKinnon and Matt Breida.
