Plummer gone, Boston gone, Lassiter (might be gone), Sanders (might be gone), Jenkins (might be gone), Fredrickson (might be gone) but the way teams are spending on free-agency one has to see the lunacy to some of it. Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely bothered that the Cards haven't signed anyone yet but Blake and Holliday could be very well better than Stewart and Colvin. When June 1st rolls around, some big name players are going to be cut and they won't have very many options if they want to play and get the big bucks they are used to. Their is a very likely possibility that the team's inability to use their cap space now will put them in a very good position June 1st and give them the money to finally sign their draft picks. Free agency is like one big football game and no one ever won a game on the first two quarters alone.

Lately June 1st cuts have not been to promising. The only one we know that will be worth going after is Griese!

There always is

There are always opportunties after June 1st, other teams have to sign their draft picks and seldom does a new season go by that a team doesn't have to make tough choices they didn't plan on. I doubt Griese will be the only guy out there.

Sure there will be more but as of late meaning the last few seasons June 1st just has not produced the prizes that everyone wants. Most of them are older players past there prime!

Yes, but

You can't tell me that some of those players past their prime will not be better than some players we have now. A team that makes it into the playoffs usually not only has young player but a bunch of veterans who know how to get there and win it. This team will go no where without more veteran leadership that not only helps with their smart play on the field but the valuable leadership they give the young guys. The team when it got blown out last year was not because they quit but because a team loaded with young players didn't know how to react to the situations presented them.

Maybe not but I know we have lost a few games in the first two quarters.

The only certainty we know is what is out there now. June 1st is like Let's Make a Deal... You just do not know what is under that box or behind that curtain. I don't know if I feel comfortable waiting until June 1st. You just don't know who you will get a chance at.

Look at the draft

The NFL draft is just as full of risks as everything in the offseason. All I'm saying is that June 1st probably will offer the Cardinals some chances other teams will not be able to act on.

history has shown that those "june 1st chances" the cards will get are generally pretty pathetic. yes, i agree with you, the pathetics may be better than our grossly pathetics, but that's a miniscule step up (or, more likely, laterally).
