can't really say anything to you all who hate the cowboys and SOME of their obnoxious fans. i don't know if the shoe was on the other foot and the cardinals were very successful in the past... if they'd have the most gracious fans known to man. I'd agree that attending a game in texas stadium is a much different experience. and that's for obvious reasons.

I'm a hometown guy and will always be proud of where i'm from. I like the texas rangers and I come back and root for them every season regardless of how much it kills me to see them lose. I used to love it when the yankees came to town because that would be one of the few games that would certainly sale out and beyond that it would have an electric atmosphere. My best memories were watching those games eventhough we lost nearly all of them. and then when the rangers did beat them it felt like a championship. so I've been kind of on both ends of the aisle. all i can say is that when you win you win gracefully....when you lose you give the other team props for being good and keep on truckin rather than jumpin on the other train.

Lorenzo, I have to disagree with you. I have lived in Dallas my whole life and been a Cards fans since the early "70's. I have never missed a Cards-Boys game in Dallas, never!!! Their fans talk a lot of trash before and after they win. The few times I have witnessed a Cards victory I left the game and never so much as said anything to a Dallas fan. I have been abused, cussed and even hit at every game I have ever attended. One season, while leaving a Cards loss I walked out of Texas Stadium with Aeneas Williams family and we were ALL cussed and degraded by drunken Cowboy fans. It got so bad that a Dallas fan swung at one Aeneas' family member and ended in total a total fist fight in which I was cold cocked by a flying fist that layed me out on the bridge across Hwy 183. I was later diagnosed with a concussion at the hospital. Since that time I have never attended a game in Dallas. My company also sponsers the Cowboys in Dallas and I have to hear the same crap every time we play them. I can tell you that you do not see the opposing fans point of view because you are a Cowboys fan. Believe me Dallas fans suck when they win and hide when they lose.

Believe it or not, I have absolutely no problem at all with the Cowboys. The eagles are where my problem lies. Sometimes I think I should seek help. My wife stopped me from spitting on an eagles jersey in Wal-Mart the other day. Yeah, I have problems.

Your dam straight you do.. Your problem is you let your wife talk you out of spitting on a eagles jersey.. :D

If the cards win this game do you think I will go away? ask the suns posters on that forum. I'm a mavs fan and I've talked to them right after my mavs lost to them. you are trying to connect the dots to all cowboys fans which isn't fair, but that's not my call to make. so I can't say anything to change your mind or change your point of view.

I've attended a handfull of giants games with my wife's family and they are giants fans. if anything they go to the game and are the obnoxious ones and we've never had any problems aside from a few people saying the giants suck.....and my in law probably deserved it the way he was acting. I'm sure that there are obnoxious fans everywhere. but I've never had or even seen any problems at texas stadium and most people will tell you it is one of the most laid back places to attend a road game. at least we don't have a courtroom at our stadium. it could be much worse.

Lorenzo, it's not an attack on you. You seem like a gracious fan win or lose. 70% of the Cowboys fans aren't. But that's speaking from experience.

fair enough. I personally know plenty of cowboys fans who are as gracious as I am. actually that's the way I was raised by my family as far as sports is concerned. but on the flip side as you say I know many cowboys fans who aren't. and it's not like it's limited to cowboys fans being obnoxious either. there are some other teams out there that have their fair share as well.

I promise win or lose I will be back and I won't be here pounding my chest if the cowboys win...and the same notion I will talk facts if the cowboys lose. I won't have a laundry list of excuses. that loss to the cards in the playoffs in 98 is still fresh in my memory. so I know what it's like to be on that end.

I grew up in Dallas and went to many Cowboys games as a devoted fan, but I live in Arizona now. When I went to the playoff game in Jan 99, the fans in the stadium were polite, even before the game when they thought they would win.

It's the Cowboys fans who live in Arizona, who never even lived close to Texas, let alone Dallas, who come to games in Arizona hoping for the home team to lose that I despise. Those people are gutless scum, and I say gutless because the obvious reason why they remain Cowboys fans is they don't have the guts to change out of fear that someone may say they're rooting for a team with a losing record.

The national adopters are a different story. My theory is that many of these fans are insecure and have poor self image issues. They are Dallas fans because by attaching themselves to something well known and successful, they hope that the association reflects positively on them. Without their Cowboy jersey on, they are simply pathetic losers and they know it. With the jersey on, they feel like they are part of "America's Team" and all popularity that comes with it. This fleeting feeling of self worth causes them to act out -- which they seem to take every opportunity to do so. I blame their mothers and unresolved penis envy issues.

What he said....

en fuego, did you take some psychology classes?

en fuego nailed it, I believe.

I grew up in Texas in the heyday of the Landry and Staubach years. That team was just shoved down our throats in a way no one who didn't live in Texas at the time would understand. Born with some sort of stubborn rebel streak, I hated Dallas instantly. My life was saved by cheering for the Oilers, who I dropped as soon as we left Texas.

Some of me favorite memories were game days when I lived in a dorm at Texas A&M. Of course, the only option was the Dallas game whenever it was on. Cheers would go up everywhere when Dallas scored. When the other team scored I would run out in the hall and holler about it. It didn't matter who Dallas was playing I cheered like heck for the other team. When Dallas lost, it was good times!

yeah my best friend is from dallas, but he lived in SF for a few years when he was a kid and became a 49ers fan when he first watched football. when he moved back to DFW he grew to hate dallas because of the local hype and for other obvious reasons. but there are more people than you would think that live in DFW that aren't dallas fans. when I went to school there were a lot of kids who hated dallas as well. It isn't like GB, Pittsburgh, or KC where you cheer for the home team or die. Now you wouldn't know it from the media attention that the cowboys get on an annual basis there. but the area has doubled in population over the last couple of decades...and like the valley many of the people aren't natives. at last years packers game many of the season tix holders sold their tix to packers fans. My father in law made a killing off of his tix, and he's not even a dallas fan either.

Holy smokes Bucky. That's a terrible story man. Sorry to hear that. It's hard to fathom that. When I went to Texas Stadium, it was the most mildest stadium I'd ever been to. A grand total of 3 Cowboy fans said a word to me the whole day. And they did it with a friendly smile on their face.

What's not to hate about the cowboys. Ever since growing up a Niners fan watching them beat us in the NFC Championship games. From Irvin's smug ass to Emmitt's tough man act.

For the past few years I kind of felt a sense of respect for Jerry Jones until this latest bull crap and how he is going to weasel his way out of true discipline for Pacman.

Too bad there wasn't an option for "The refs give them all of the calls." THAT'S why I hate the Cowpukes. From Irvin's constant pushing off to no PI calls in the back of the end zone to Rob Moore, to today's game. I HATE them because of how blatantly the refs try to help them win.
