I bought a PS3 when it first came out. Never had any problems with it. Was blown away that I could link into my home wifi network and access my media on my PC as well as surf the net. Plus Blue Ray! I was more impressed with all the bells and whistles of the PS3 than the actual games. Still using the original to this day.

Everyone kept telling me I should have bought a 360, I should have bought a 360!

I bought a 360. The games were pretty cool but I didn't notice a big difference from the PS3. Was fun to play Halo again though. No blue ray, not nearly as much cool networking options :( But there were way more games so I was fine with it.

It lasted 2 weeks before the first RROD.

So I sent it back.

6 months later I got RROD #2.

Will never spend money on a 360 again.

Just my experience please dont flame me I see people in this thread are taking this issue very personally. rofl.

the 360 does all those things except surf the net though, i dont know why you would be dissapointed in the media options due to only not having a web browser. I stream movies and music from my HD all the time onto my xbox. Plus now the xbox has netflix with no disc needed, pending partnership with hulu, has espn, last fm, twitter, facebook and tons of other BS. I wouldnt say 360 "doesnt have nearly as many networking options"

RROD seems to vary from person to person, as I stated I had the original launch system and it lasted me four years before i got RROD, I bought an arcade xbox and attached my old harddrive to it and it is still alive and kicking.

One thing my ps3 bothers me with is that tiny ass made for little girls controller, I am 6'5 and my hands wrap around the damn thing.

I apologize then clearly I just didn't mess around with the Xbox enough, all of those things just came a lot easier for me with the PS3.

I'm not knocking the 360. So many people love it for a reason so I'm sure it's great I just didn't have a good experience with mine so I'm perfectly content with the PS3.

if you still have one, all you have to do is run windows media center on it or just go to for example, the music tab and then when it asks for what music, go to your PC. If it doesnt see your PC you may need to open ports or download an extender to your computer.
