agreed - there's no way in hell the Wilcox could play the 3 on defense. However, if this is Marion's last year (and I believe it probably will be due to contracts and what not - JMO), a front line of Diaw, Amare and Wilcox would be pretty sick, all of them young and all of them decent rebounders. You put that along with whatever we get for Marion, plus the-mid lotto pick and you're looking at the foundation for Amare era #2.

That being said, I'd be shocked if we actually got Wilcox.

I do like the idea of wilcox to take some of the physical work off amare. Wilcox can defend the paint, play on the block, and run very well for a big guy. Problem is that Diaw plays best against a 4, and with that lineup, the opposing coach can use a 3 on Boris. Maybe, with a staggered rotation it would be more effective in making a 4 or 5 play Boris on D.

I thought Wilcox could fit onto the Suns, but certainly not as an SF.

The problem he had with the Clippers was that the didn't get the minutes. What I found interesting is that his rebounds per minute were roughtly the same with the Clips as the Sonics - but he got more minutes with the Sonics.
His scoring certainly jumped due to not playing with Brand and Kaman, but he always was quite efficient with a career 57.1% from the field. When with the Clips and they played the Suns, he was a lot more effective than Kaman because he could run.

Still, I'm not convinced he's worth $10 million a year.
