It doesn’t matter. From the 40 and 12 seconds there’s more than enough time to run 2 shots to the end zone. If they need a FG then the gamble would be worth it, but needing a TD, you take as many shots the end zone when in range.

cowboys fans should only blame ourselves for believing that this team could win. and I'm amazed that they almost pulled it off. for me a bad start to game hurt them and of corse penalties. Jimmy G. gave them a gift on that interception, the other guy that ran into the kicker gave them a gift as well. they just got their butts kicked for too long in the game.

No. Because when we got the ball with 4:35 left we drove the field and ran out the clock. SF wasn't able to get 10 yards with 1:52 left.
