One of the odd parts about the Bobcat - Clipper deal is that it means the Bobcats will go big. Up to this point it looked like they would take a PG or an SF, but taking a PG seemed the most likely. (For some reason they passed on Eisley :D ). At #2 that means they won't.

But that leaves the Clippers as the only team shopping for PG. It was widely reported that they were actually thinking of taking Livingston at #2 and it hardly a reach to see them taking him at #4. If he has the potential people think, it makes sense since the Clips are not likely to be title contenders next season.

At this point it gets interesting. None of the rest of the teams have a need for a PG. Chicago and Washinton are pretty much set at PG and have clear needs for SF. Atlanta needs everything, but their only serious contract player is a short PG/SG combo. They might want Gordon as BPA, but it is hardly a good fit. With this scenerio, it is not all that unlikely that Gordon drops.

Right now I consider that the most promising scenerio the Suns have. I like Iggy, but he is almost certain to be gone. At the same time, I am indifferent in a choice between Childress and Harris - neither look like potential stars to me.

Realistically no.

And after watching that Devin Harris 4MB highlight reel over and over again I can say I wouldn't be dissapointed with Harris at all if we took him even without really seeing him in a real game ever.

I am a little confused why Colangelo says that nobody in the draft at #7 could beat out Leandro however.
Makes me think Iguodala or Smith again.

I think Colangelo is just supporting the player on his roster right now. Maybe Barbosa has improved, but he still needs work in his playmaking skills.

You might not look like it makes much sense, but it wouldn't surprise me if Chicago or Atlanta takes Gordon. It also wouldn't surprise me if the Clippers take him.

I don't really expect Gordon to be available, but prior to the Clippers - Charlotte deal considered it nearly impossible. I figured that Charlotte (after much agonizing) would take Livingston and the Clippers would trade with Atlanta and take Gordon.

All in all, I think Atlanta would have offered more "extras" to get the #2 than Charlotte, which makes me pretty sure the Clippers will take Livingston.

Gordon is very good, but is he so good that teams will take him dispite having access to quality players who fill immediate needs? We' know in a few days.
