They sure look like the Magic team that swept the first 2 teams

I don't know but the refs are giving the Celtics ZERO rope to vent frustrations in this game. Already kicked out Perkins in the 2nd quarter and then threw another couple T's at them already.

Celtics will likely get some nice calls in game 6 but I'm curious if it will be enough. 2 guys left with concussions and their age has showed late in games 4 & 5.

One thing the Suns and Magic both have going for them is their depth. Bryant, Artest, Gasol, Pierce and Allen have all needed to play 40mpg which isn't as big a deal when you're getting a ton of rest but now the series are on every other day pace.

I think its time for the league to set up a Suns-Magic finals schedule!

That would be great. Then the Lakers and Celtics could schedule a pick up game at a local gym so Bynum could get that match up he was so excited about.

Actually i would rather have Suns and Celtics final (If we get by the Lakers). They are currently taken tons of beating from the Magic and they are an older team.
Magic on the other hand have depth and Phoenix sucks in defending the 3, something Magic team is good at.

Me too. But for the reason that Celtics were the more steady team while Magics the more crazy and wild team. Celtics wouldn't pose any surprise to us and I have no doubt we'd have our offense going as well as the case in the whole playoffs. But when Nelson nails those crazy shots, or Lewis or Carter go banana on us, we might not be able to stop Magics' offense either. Also, now we don't as much rely on Nash dribbling, Rondo posts a lesser threat than Nelson too.

If the Suns can beat the Lakers then they can beat either of those teams IMO. I'd like to see the Suns beat the Lakers first before caring about the finals. The task is still very large.

I hope they can do it..

Lets see both these teams (suns and magic) come back and win 4 straight.. That would be sweet..

If the suns beat the lakers, I don't care who we play.. I'd rather have a trip to the finals than be knocked out.

The Magic are tough inside and out. The Celtics aren't that big but KG, Allen, Pierce, Rondo are all seasoned vets. With Howard we can get him in a bit of trouble since he isn't talented offensively. I rather face the Magic if we made it than the Celtics.

This is an example why you need to put away a team when you have a chance. Gentry could have told Nash against SA, just sit out and we can get them in game 5. You never know what kind of crap can happen. Davis probably wont be able to play, Perkins could get suspended due to a bad call. They could be in a whole lot of trouble. Since the Suns put a way the Spurs earlier, Lopez had practice time and Nash had time for his eye to heal.

For all the flak the Suns get about their playoff failures they have actually been quite good in close out games during the Nash era. Think they are now 7-1 in close out games.

I doubt he gets suspended. That was a terrible call by the official and i don't see how the league will uphold it.

You know, everyone keeps saying that and I just don't get it. Perkins reacted initially and then as he walked away he made another gesture. The league has said over and again that such action warrants a technical foul. Van Gundy and Jackson railed on about it but they think small caliber weapons should be allowed out there. I don't know if I agree with this rule and this interpretation but how many times have we watched Amare get in trouble for the same thing or even less? Where was the outcry then? In the scheme of technical fouls it was pretty weak but we've seen weaker on many an occasion.

Also, Perkins should lose the right to ever complain about reffing. If they ejected him in the opening minutes of every game for the next ten years it would just about make up for all the non-calls this guy has gotten away with. He puts that forearm into the back and dislodges more times in a single game than most big guys do in their entire careers.

They probably will take back one or more of his technicals last night because both were marginal at best but that won't be the only reason. The fact that the announcers made a big deal about it and all the networks played it to death will also have something to do with it but don't kid yourself, the fact they wore Celtic green will also weigh in.

If that had been Amare and the Suns you can pretty much guarantee Stat would be sitting out the next game. I don't really believe in all the league conspiracies but there are "haves" and "have nots" and they definitely protect the "haves".

Assuming Perkins is suspended, Rasheed's back spasms continue, and Big Baby/Daniels can't come back for game 6 due to concussions... This series will head back to Orlando for Game 7.

I think Orlando might be the first team to come out after overcoming a 3-0 deficit. It will have taken an unusual set of circumstances, but it is very possible now.

Perkins' T has been rescinded by David "rules are rules" Stern.

I voted yes even though I know the answer is probably no. We all know that eventually it will happen. The odds say that the longer this record goes untouched the more likely it is to go the other way eventually. Having said that even if that record is broken it's not like it will change the outcome of those types of series 99% of the time.

I think it would be fun in the Magic did it though. I am routing for it to happen.
