It isn't written anywhere, but players on the brink of being traded aren't put into a position where they can get injured. It's common sense. You see it in every sport.

But, Whiz has said both will play UNLESS something happens before Thursday.

So... if nothing happens by then... what does he do, and how does he spin it?

How funny is it that the most successful coach in Arizona Cardinals history, who got the team to the freakin' Super Bowl two years ago and has improved the team's record every season he's been here, is already being mocked by some fans?

Sports fans. Ya gotta love 'em!

I like Whiz and respect his accomplishments, so far.

But, I sense duplicity in how he has handled the ML situation.

I have heard all of this "intangible" stuff used to cover personal animus before.

(And I've dealt with and seen more more than a few two-faced coaches in action at a professional level)

If anyone listened to Wiz in his presser yesterday he was asked if both QB's would play against the Skins. His answer: Yes, unless something happens before Thursday. That tells me the trade rumors are legit & he might be out of here by today or tommorrow. Otherwise I think he plays & is then sent his wlaking papers.

I definitely think the organization will try to get a trade done with Matt before the game on Thursday.

IF ML is actually on the trading block, the primary reason NOT to play him is that Shanahan intends to play Haynesworth for an extended period against the Cards...ML will likely end up with no collarbone with the OL support against Haynesworth :)

I predict Matt will be the starting QB in the Card's home opener.

Of course he'll be starting for the Raiders.

If we're truly trying to shop him, he'll play and will likely be put in his best situation all pre-season. They'll want to make him look as good as possible.

If he's not traded he'll play and stay our backup - don't see him getting cut. Adios Max.
