Funny you mention this. I can't wait to hear what Barkley has to say about this trade on TNT tonight.

How about a maybe or unsure option?

I heard Barkley on Dan Patrick this morning. He said he's going to reserve judgement until he sees how healthy Shaq is. But he kept saying that Steve Kerr has balls. He also thought it would have been very hard for the Suns to win a championship before this move.

This morning on KTAR Kerr said that the Suns training staff examined Shaq and determined that the source of his physical issues right now are limited flexibility and that they believe they can have him performing substantially better in a few weeks.

Kerr repeatedly mentioned what they have been able to do with Hill, Nash, McDyess and others.

They deserve that credit. The athlete's desire to get better and his discipline to stick to a program has an affect on the outcome, too. But their group is having a lot more success compared to others which tells you there must be something about their system that is genuinely effective. I hope they achieve great results with Shaq.
Sometimes I think about changing my dream specialty from thoracic surgery to ortho surgery + sports fellowship. (aspiring physician here) I think it can be a very rewarding field.
Good luck to Aaron and co!

No. Nash and STAT will deliver it, Shaq will just be the final piece in the puzzle.
And even beyond that, the rest of the team.

The Chuckster's support was nowhere near what Shaq's will be.

KJ had to score 20 points and have recognition as the Franchise.
Steve makes the rest of the team better and scores high only when he has to.

Amare is adding more aspects to his game regularly than Chuck himself ever did.

Majerle was fun, but Hill and the rest of the supporting cast are more fun.

The only thing the Chuckster had over this team was . . . Lowell Fitzsimmons. Imagine Cotton coaching this team going forward.

If indeed the Suns win it all this year, we should also give credit to Kerr for making a gutsy move, to D'Antoni for adapting his preferred style to make optimum use of his newest player, and to Aaron Nelson and the Suns training staff who work wonders with their knowledge.

In a van...down by the river.
I like our chances better than i did last week but i think we need another piece to make up for the loss of Marion's man on defense.
I voted no.....but i'm still pumped!

Perhaps, but this Suns team will not be facing a team as good as the 90s Bulls in any playoff series. Without them, there's a good chance the Suns and Jazz would have championship rings, not to mention that Pacers and (more for the) Knicks. But that's sports, and besides, these Suns don't need to worry about that anyway...!

Yes, unless we play Golden State in round 1, a team that will run us into the ground. I'm more confident vs. other teams though if Shaq is healthy.

But the other teams actually have a good defense when they do that to us...our interior D will improve, but not if Shaq can't keep up.
