William Hung to release summer songs album
LOS ANGELES -- William Hung, best known as being the most
memorable, rejected talent show contestant on Fox's
"American Idol" has released an album of U.S. summer songs.
"Miracle: Happy Summer From William Hung," is a collection
of classic American summer songs sung from the heart,
according to Hung, a civil engineering student at the
University of California at Berkeley. His rejected
"American Idol" rendition of "She Bangs" garnered him a
fan base and Hung has appeared on video and in commercial
endorsements with companies such as Cingular Wireless and
AskJeeves. The album's first single will be "Achy Breaky
Heart," the country hit made famous by Billy Ray Cyrus.
Cyrus is scheduled to appear in the tongue-in-cheek music
video. Other tracks include "Tie A Yellow Ribbon," and "I
Love L.A."
