Why hasn't he been given more of an opportunity since that first game? He played well but now that LSH has come back, Powell rarely sees the field.
I would think with the runs Powell made that he could start and LSH could be used in the 3rd down role he is much better suited. Despite his one nice game, LSH is not a starting RB in this league. I don't know if Powell is either but why not give him another crack? He really didn't do anything to disappoint in his only opportunity.

You know the season is in trouble when we're talking about Powell and LSH starting .

I think it was the fumble but it is weird how suddenly he was in the doghouse.

IF I had to guess I think he probably fumbles in practice too and they saw it in the game and though ok we can't trust him. Williams had the huge fumble against NE, but he didn't get benched, so he must have been sure handed in practice. There must be a reason why that fumble so quickly scared them off Powell.

I totally agree with you and have no clue why Whiz at least doesn't use both of them. LSH is not an every down back, he is 5' 7" 180 lbs while Powell is 5'9" 205 lbs. Big difference. Powell must still be in the doghouse for the hit on Kolb.

I think the Cardinals should use Sherman more to carry the ball. LSH can't carry the load by himself.

Go to a backfield similar to what Tampa used to run with Mike Alstott and Warrick Dunn splitting carries. However we would have Sherman and LSH splitting carries. At least until Wells comes back.

Was screaming about this all last game. Have to try something different when LSH clearly not working. Powell and Smith are better options due to size alone. Stubborn coaching staff.

Because he doesnt know enough of the playbook apparently. IE Got Kolb about killed. Has fumbled on a KO return and on a handoff. So I think right now he just isnt trusted.

I think it's this, too. Whisenhunt has brought up this busted play by the back multiple times unprompted in press conferences and interviews.

We have so many problems I have more or less given up on suggestions as to what we should or should not do other than I will say forever we must obtain a real QBOTF. That overrides everything else. If we win another game it will be the defense that does it. We are near the bottom in every offensive category. When you get this bad a team tends to lose any edge they may have had. They may still play hard but down deep they do not want to get injured playing for a team going no where. We had such high hopes after the first four games but that has all vanished now and I think most people are already thinking about who will we draft or what FA might we sign next year. I have been so upset that I am no longer upset. I am mostly numb but will watch the games and hope our leaders come up with some ideas for next year. In national news we are just an afterthought anymore. My thoughts turn to will Whiz and Grimm be here next year? Will we have a new QB? Will we draft a QB with our first pick? Will we draft in the top 5? Will we replace our Left Tackle who to even a novice seems to be a total failure? Could our DC replace Whiz or will he go to some other team? Will we cut Skelton? Will Kolb ever be healthy enough to play a full season? Might the organization realize that Graves is not a GM? Time to go now and take another Zanax. We are an 11 point underdog to GB. I say take Green Bay and bet the house, wife, and dog.

Then they should cut him if he's that bad and bring in somebody who can be trusted. You know, like Chester Taylor.

Bigger than LSH and at least try something when you are rushing for 7 yards. He looked pretty good running the ball when given a chance.

Oh and LSH kept the blitz off of Skelton? If we benched everyone who makes a mistake and gets our QB hit we would have no room on the bench.

With all due respect Shane.. How long does it really take to learn "Watch the outside pass rushers meet at the QB.. rinse, repeat?"

This is something that bothers me about Whiz. He is to stubborn to rotate guys and find who has the hot hand.

Why haven't we seen Bradley, or or back up young DLman that was so good last year? Can't remember his name.

Whiz would have to be like Gene Hackman in Hoosiers. He diciplined a kid and pulled him from the game. Someone fouled out and the ref said 'coach, you need one more player' . The kid started to get up from the bench, Hackman told him to sit down and said to the ref 'my team's on the court'. So he played with 4 kids.

Interesting how selective he is with the discipline...how many times have Batiste, Massie et al got RB's, QB's killed yet more of the same, and all the excuses about how they are growing...his EGO is out of control IMHO
