Gleason helped lead the program to back-to-back Class 3A state championship games in 2016 and 2017, as well as a Big Nine Conference title in 2017. He was named the Minnesota State High School Coaches Association (MSHSCA) Class 3A state coach of the year in 2016.

He was also an assistant on the 2003 state tournament team that placed third and the 1999-2000 conference title team.

Gleason, who is also a music teacher and track and field coach, will continue in his other roles according to the press release.
