Coupled with a historically horrific Special Teams, a clearly aging and slowing Palmer, and a head coach is IMHO has not been "right" since the first days of camp - this season is essentially over.
Hard to see how we'll make the post season and of course, BA's 2015 statement regarding the goal for 2016 being a Super Bowl "RING" is laughable.
Gonna be a rough, frustrating ride the test of the way folks.
I feel so damn bad for Fitz, who continues to play his heart out and produce at amazing levels. Only to be submarined by so much dysfunction and ineptitude...

As a 15 year season ticket holder, I'll still be at every game cheering the team on. However, I can also see what this team is and what lies ahead. I believe this is a place where we can express our own non-expert opinions... So go for it.

We're 1 1/2 game behind the Packers and Eagles and 1/2 game behind the Lions, Giants, & 'Skins. Hardly call that finished. There's still 9 games left. A lot can happen. Seattle isn't that good. They lost to LA(as did us) and their offense is pedestrian at best. We can catch them.

I don't see us catching Seattle now though. You have to assume Wilson will get healthy unless the injury is worse than they've let on. They get Rawls back soon, they'll get Chancellor back, so they should improve.

The bright spot last night for us until the OT was the great 2nd half by Floyd where he made several key catches, moved the chains and then he flubbed the huge one in the OT. That and the holds on him somewhat offset his good production but at least he showed he can still get open and make plays because I have a feeling we're going to need him with the 2 Brown injuries.

If we can beat Carolina then we get a by week to rest up and heal. I figure if we win that game and go 6-2 the 2nd half we're a playoff team.

All last night did was delay the inevitable, IMO. We get to hope for another week, but it's false hope.

This team doesn't have "it" this season.

That is my concern. With John Brown's situation and Jaron hurting it's really suddenly hard to see the passing game suddenly taking off. Palmer had 35 TD passes last year, he's got 7 this year so roughly half of last year and he's averaging about 1.5 yards less per attempt. Nelson was good last night in spots and Palmer missed him a few times and Floyd other than the big drop was productive. Those 2 are really going to have to step up I suspect for the passing game to take off and really since Nelson has been here, he and Palmer just never seem to click. Palmer just doesn't seem to make good deep throws to him even in last years brilliant year.

The ST's are a huge concern they have to play better they've cost us 2 wins and a tie already and they hurt us badly against Buffalo too.

At 3-3-1 all is not lost. We have 9 more games to determine if we get into the playoffs and we probably need to win 7 of them in order to get in.

Panthers ?
49ers - W
Vikings ?
Falcons ?
Redskins - W
Dolphins - W
Saints - W
Seahawks ?
Rams - W

I am not sure point differential really matters but we are currently +49 on the season. Our defense is good enough to keep us in most games and our offense should be better than what we have shown. I am cautiously optimistic we can get the 9 wins we need and a wildcard spot.

I think it's a bit early to be calling the season essentially over. We may not win the division, but a playoff spot is still in play. A Wild Card team last year started 2-4, blowing 4th quarter leads while having one of the known good defenses. Not trying to claim that it will turn around that way for this team, but a good defense will keep you in games, and I think we have a very good defense.

We'll see. Games like yesterday are ones that can completely drain a team.

Next week is our last stand, IMO.

The next two games are 100% must wins. We have to go into the bye 4-3-1 and come out and beat SF so we go into Minnesota 5-3-1.

I actually think we match up pretty well with Minnesota, Atlanta is the game that concerns me that offense has been so explosive I'm not sure even with our defense we can contain them and our offense hasn't looked good except against bad teams.

I think you have been undercover too long on the Trump Campaign. You are starting to think like them. "Make the Cardinals Great Again!"

Come on dude you are better than that. This season is far from over. Last year the Seahawks started the season 2 - 4. It's all about how you finish!

We have started strong the last two years and then ended up sucking at season's end.

If we start out struggling, maybe we finish strong and can have a great run into the playoffs. I had planned for 5-3 by the bye this year, I would still be happy with 4-3-1

Look I screamed I was done if they lost last night well we didn't but I'm still pissed. Saying that....there is no one scary in the NFC this year. All we have to do is make it....we all have warts but we have alot of talent....if we play that same game against any team in the NFC we win by 21 points ....Seattle has the best defense for the last 4 years for a reason. They are loaded everywhere. But we still moved the ball....see the stats. We are ranked high in almost every offensive and defensive category...we are 2 fgs from being 5-2. And really one can argue we could be 7-0 with a little of seattles luck. But Minnesota won't beat us with our defense and pass rush....we get to the QB pretty well now....I think we win a shoot out against Atlanta and Minnesota and Philly wouldn't score 10 points on us....Dallas would struggle because they wouldn't dominate the time of possession against us. The teams that scare me are teams like new England. Pittsburgh. Maybe even Cincinnati .....but in the NFC guys we can best any of themesepciaynif we play like we did last night. Seattle had every close play go their way last night except the last fg they missed. Seattle has had a leprechaun on their shoulder for ever...and they used him like 6 times...I think his magic ran out....but play like this for the remainder of the season and we win 7 of our last 9 and get a wildcard....and then we will be the most dangerousteam in the NFC
