They basically traded the same package to get allen as they had on the table for garnett

They sent Wally for Allen. They could still send Ratliff (expiring), Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, and Telfair or something of that nature? Might as well go into total win now mode with old Allen and his contract. Garnett, Pierce, and Allen in the east would be quite capable.

Huh? You serious? Pierce is best ball in hand. He creates space off the dribble or posting up. He often takes the ball hard to the rack.

Allen CAN go off the dribble, but he's much more a spot up shooter who can run off screens effectively. He learned from the same guys in college that Rip Hamilton did.

How do you figure they can't coexist? Pierce gets doubled all the time down the stretch. Now if they double Pierce they're leaving Ray Ray open for threes, or for an easy inside out game with Big Al.

Both Pierce and Allen have co-existed with volume shooters. I think they'll do fine.
