With Wilson signed, do the Cardinals have the cap space to sign Boldin?

Right.

But that didn't stop ill informed people from calling Dansby every name in the book and wanting him out of town because they claimed his failure to sign a new deal was seriously harming the team.

That fricken frackin Dansby is screwing up our cap. :D

The deadline for getting a franchise player (i.e. Dansby) signed is June 15 (i.e. this coming Monday)

If we have enough cap room but can't get Dansby signed, I'm guessing that, effective mid-July, Q will then become #1 on Rod's "To Do" list.

I am still of the opinion we are knee deep in good receivers and any money should go to need. I recognize Boldin is a star but you can only play so many receivers at one time. He has repeatedly says he wants out of here. We have him next year regardless. He may be an attitude case but I feel he will not want to be a bad case with his fellow players.

Well, to be fair, it probably killed any shot of us pursuing a big-name free agent. I mean, I'm finally on the side of a more conservative approach to FA, but to those who wanted us to splash, Dansby would have prevented that.

Well, given the quality of this year's free agent class, I consider this a blessing. :D

Sorry but when a team extends a player and almost doubles that players cap hit and reups a free agent and almost triples his cap hit they obviously had plenty of cap space to sign whoever they wanted whenever they wanted regardless of Dansby's franchise tag.

What Wilson's contract and Dansby's franchise tag tell me is that the Cards don't have the cash to pay signing bonuses like Snyder or some of the other billionaire owners have.
