The Wizards are 4-20 but beat the Pacers on Friday.

The Suns drop to 13-12 after losing to the Knicks.

Bradley Beal is expected to miss a few weeks with an injury to his right ankle.

It was a joke, I was making light of a bad situation.

I don’t care how good our offense is (and it has a long way to go) but we’re not making the playoffs with the current level of defense and effort.

Some of that looked like pure confusion to me. Anyway, I think this team makes the playoffs even if we never see Beal again as long as we get and keep everyone else healthy. I don't think that team would do much in the postseason but we've played well enough this season with Book and KD to expect at least a play-in spot. But if we lose Booker or KD for any real stretch of time, or even Nurkic, all bets are off. We have an incredibly thin margin for success and that's even with a watered down definition of success.

The Knicks did a good job of exploiting it, but that has been there all year.

Good teams can crank it up in close games, we don't seem to have an extra gear... and when we try to shift up to it, everything falls apart.

I don't even think it's effort, it is somewhat coaching, but especially talent, especially especially on defense. Late in games, when teams tighten up and run their best sets, we can't stop anyone... between Gordon, Nurk and Allen we've typically got 2 horrible defenders on the court the other team can isolate and we don't have any star level defenders to hide the warts.

We had some moments some weeks ago where we out-rebounded other teams and grabbed a bunch of offensive rebounds. Did that go away when Okogie was injured? We need to get at least some advantage back to beat mediocre teams. Not sure what is going on with the defense. Will they just decide to be a good defensive team at some point? Or should they *gasp* try to make some changes? Guess I'll focus more on the NFL than let this Suns team waste my spare time.
