The #Jets could wait until the practice week begins to make a decision on QB Sam Darnold’s availability. While missing time is the most likely scenario – difficult to practice with an AC joint sprain in a throwing shoulder – the team won’t be able to tell until he tries to throw.

If Sam Darnold can’t throw on a Wednesday, that will likely tell the story of whether he plays on Sunday. But it will also be 6 days from the injury, so the team is holding out hope his injury improves.

The lug nuts on the tires of the Cards Express are definably loose and the question is: Are the wheels about to come off or will the team tighten up and stabilize before they run off the road? The darksider in me says the wheels are about to fall off. The recipe for disaster is there: 2nd game of a back-to-back early east coast roadie vs. a winless team likely starting a washed up backup quarterback. This will also be the third straight game vs. a struggling defense and the previous two Cardinals games likely provide the Jets with confidence they too can get right vs. Az. I am not confident the offense can be fixed at this point. Kyler appears to the lack leadership, resilience and command of the offense needed to rally the troops. I think the close-up of him on screen at the end of the game showed a dejected man wondering how this is happening to him. He doesn't trust himself right now and is losing his mojo.

Kingsbury needs to do something about this. He needs to give KM more layups to open his shot. Start the game off with more designed runs for Kyler. He seems to get rolling more when he runs more. Right now, KK needs to play to KM's strengths in order to save the season.

Vance Joseph will not be fired until they return to AZ and the Jets game will be the final nail in the coffin. Unless the Cards defense dominates this game he is toast. I really hope MB and SK have already started talking to Wade Phillip's agent asking him to be prepared to take over.

This is a must win game for the team. If they lose to the Jets they will lose to Dallas and Seattle and the team will likely be sitting at 2-5 at the bye. After the bye the schedule is: vs. Mia, vs. Buff, @Sea, @NE, vs. LAR, @ NYG, vs. Phi, vs. SF, and @ LAR.

I think they lose this game 27-24 and win no more than 5 games in 2020.
