Seems that Angel Reese is leading the charge demanding that WNBA players get paid like the NBA players do. Hilarious. The WNBA is subsidized by the NBA. It loses money every year and would have been dissolved immediately if not for the men’s league paying their huge annual losses.

The WNBA has been non-profitable every year of their existence. I'm not taking anything away from them and I hope it does well for the fans but to complain about the disparity in pay is just ridiculous.

If there was more demand for the product then there would be more revenue streams and then there would be more available for salary increases. I kind of equate the WNBA to A League Baseball. And the pay is much much better than A Leaguers.

I saw another player come out and say she’s happy making what she’s making ($76k per season).

No one is going to comment that the initial tweet is from the right wing onion? Their bio literally says they are fake news.

For everyone commenting on this thread

How many WNBA games have you been to?
How many WNBA games have you watched on TV

@Brian in Mesa @jf-08 @Ronin @azsportsfan01
I watched probably 20 games. Like I said, it's not my cup of tea, and I hope the league does well, but the product, IMO, is worse than G League basketball. And I have watched only 10 of those games FWIW.

I watch a lot wnba and I plan to continue too now that I got cable again. I'm debating to go to a wings game but nobody in my family likes the wnba. I'll guess I'll Uber to the stadium.

I watch nascar for goodness sakes.

Take it from a classical musician: Being highly skilled does not entitle you to high compensation. If you're in the entertainment business, your product has to sell.

If CC isn’t playing, there is no need to watch. She should be the only one getting a raise. The rest of it is atrocious.
