You can never have enough wings as long as they all don't think they need to be starters. We are definitely creating a defensive team identity.

This move is about the playoffs. Having a defensive stopper for specialty situations is a big plus.

Not sure why we need another pf with Saric, Frank, and Cam. We could use a center.

Its the type of PF we are looking for, longer, defensive minded, more athetic. Maybe someone we can pair with Ayton if needed for bigger teams (Lakers).

Yes, I agree with your first three points.

We need a big PF who can rebound, score and defend, especially if we can't count on Ayton to end games. Last I checked Ayton was averaging something like 11rpg, and our next best rebounder was at 4 or 5rpg. Its not really worth worrying about right now due to lack of options, but it should be priority #1 this offseason.

It should have been priority #1 LAST offseason...

Yes, but maybe it was and there were no opportunities. The CP3 move turned out better than I expected so I'll continue to be patient and have faith that JJ and Monty know what they are doing. I'm confident they have a plan, which is the first time in a decade I can say that.

A lot of teams are trying to acquire defensive players to guard some of the premiere wings. I'd rather have Torrey Craig over Trevor Ariza and PJ Tucker. And Craig only cost cash.

This was a sneaky good move by James Jones.

The Bucks gave up Craig for Tucker. Not sure that was the best move. Not sure Tucker is enough better to justify what they gave up for him.

Reportedly Craig never couldn't find a role with the Bucks. I don't think Tucker is better at age 35. He wasn't playing well towards the end with the Rockets.

Tucker is better for the Bucks and what they need. He can play PF next to Giannis at C. Tucker is also the better rebounder and has played a bigger role in the postseason than Craig ever has.

Craig is a 3 who can play some minutes as a small 4 but will be a defensive stopper off the bench on the wing. I prefer Craig for the Suns vs Tucker but for the Bucks, it makes sense why they would want Tucker instead.

I'm liking some of the options Craig will provide for the Suns.

First, he can be a defensive specialist but he can also give the Suns bench some interesting looks at forward not to mention depth.

When the Suns want to get really nasty on defense they have Bridges, Nader, Craig and Cam Johnson at forward. Also this allows the Suns more versatility at the 3 or 4.

I can see times where the Suns could surround Saric in a small ball lineup with Nader, Craig and Cam Johnson along Payne.

That could be a tenacious second unit on defense and very quick.

What I like about the Suns bench is that they have lineups that can overwhelm the opposition with their offense, and in addition, they have lineups that can overwhelm the opposition with their defense. It makes for fun basketball to watch.

It does provide for some excitement. I'm still wanting the Suns to add a 4/5 but Torrey Craig makes me awfully happy with the versatility he brings.

All the Suns small forwards can hit the three pointer and apply the defense. With the addition of Craig I'm expecting the Suns to be able to make some key stops whereas before they couldn't.

I was happy with the way our bench was playing when Johnson was available and I'm not sure Craig will get much time once Cam is all the way back unless we lose someone else. Still, it's a nice luxury to have, a player that can come in and be disruptive for a few minutes.

We don't know how Craig will fit with the Suns yet but he can play as we saw in Denver. It's nice to add a player that can see minutes if needed. If Lebron were playing tonight I suspect we might have seen Craig get some time guarding him.

If Craig can play some 4, I can see him taking some minutes from Kaminsky.

That’s nice but there aren’t that many Kaminski minutes to take away. Even when Frank was starting his minutes were sill really low.

As Monty was quoted as saying, he has never coached a bench with this much talent and professionalism.

I'm only speculating. Craig has yet to play a game in a Suns uniform.
