The Black Hills baseball team was one-hit on Tuesday, but the Wolves' offense got going early on Wednesday in an 11-2 win over Centralia.
The win snaps a six-game losing streak, and it gives Black Hills its first EvCo win of the season.
The Wolves didn't wait to jump out in front, scoring six runs in the first and adding five more runs over the next two innings to take a commanding lead.
Centralia was able to score two runs in the third, but that was all the Tigers were able to get.
Adley Goebel allowed the two unearned runs, and he went on to allow just three hits and strike out seven in four innings. Blain Thomas pitched three shutout innings of relief, allowing just two hits while striking out two.
Cooper Parkinson tallied three hits and scored a pair of runs, while Jesse Kieth and Goebel combined for five runs batted in.
Willy Kytta, Brody Rice, Lincoln Brannin, and Jake Langan also drove in one run each.
Centralia and Black Hills will play their rubber match, a game that could decide the final EvCo district tournament spot, in Centralia on May 8.
Up next, the Wolves (2-7, 1-6 2A EvCo) will host Tumwater on Thursday, while the Tigers (1-14, 1-8 2A EvCo) will host W.F. West on Friday.
