Tiger Woods weathered putting woes to open his 2012 season with a 2-under 70 at the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship on Thursday, three shots behind clubhouse leaders Rory McIlroy and Robert Karlsson. Woods played bogey-free golf that produced few momentous shots and two birdies. He missed several birdie chances, including a 6-footer on his ninth, the 18th hole.
