Calais will never get the love at 3-4 DE because of Watt, but he is a freaking MONSTER.

I know K9 did a breakdown of all of Ellington's runs, but I'd like to see what this guy says about how our oline looks.

Muth is actually a Cards fan. He's really available on twitter (@FO_WordofMuth) in my experience. He's following St. Louis and Baltimore exclusively for FO this year after doing Kansas City (IIRC) and Philly last year.

But eventually A-Dub35 made it to the Hall of Fame.

He also made the All-Decade team when that was announced. I don't think Calais gets the same respect Aeneas did back in the day... which is weird because he's played on a MUCH BETTER defense overall the last couple years where he's been simply dominant.

I could be wrong but AW35 didn't get much respect until he had been around.

common misperception. he got in the league in 1991, and made the Pro-Bowl from 1994-2000 while being named 1st Team All Pro from 1994-7. That's a lot of respect, considering in almost all of those years, the team was atrocious.

Calais on the other hand has never made a Pro-Bowl, or 1st or 2nd team All-Pro.

That's a crime, and it will change this year for sure. At least he will be an All Pro. He won't be available for the Pro Bowl.

Wow, what a great breakdown. Thanks for posting K9.

Campbell, Williams, Kelly and Okafor is one tough front. I agree Campbell is vastly underrated in the NFL, likely because JJ Watt plays at such a high level. Still, I think this year is the year he goes to the Pro Bowl. He has had dominant games over most coaches/players/teams at this point, and done it all as a 3-4 DE. After Watt, and perhaps Robert Quinn, I cannot think of a player more valuable to his defense.

Williams and Okafor have improved so much it is almost unbelievable. Reminds me of the turn around Calvin Pace had in his last year here. I hope we can re-sign Williams, but am starting to worry that his value has jumped considerably. A solid NT is a must in any style 3-4 defense and Williams has turned into a top-5 player at that spot.

The last play on the cutup by Okafor was absolutely amazing. It shows how well this defense plays as a team, when everyone is blocked except one guy, and hunts the play down from the backside. Okafor's development the last few weeks is the most intriguing. His value is especially high to our defense in that he can slide down and play DE in the 4-3 Bowles has shown the last few weeks. Starting to see the guy that played at Texas, and that guy was a beast on the pass rush. Very excited for the future, I think we have a keeper at 1 of the OLB spots.

Very nice seeing the various looks. Stinson was actually standing up on one front with only two down lineman and they wound up bringing the house.

The whole D is playing at a very high level. They will need to from here on out.

If we can avoid more injuries we'll be in the playoffs with a possible 1st Rd. Bye.

I can dream. :newcards:

I hope no one was looking for #Ghost to make a play. Foote who is like 20 years older is way faster off the ball.
