You know, I was going to taken the high road, and I might get a ban for this, but you've directed too many of your posts with vitriol at me. You're an *******. How about instead of coming on here and attacking posters in EVERY SINGLE ONE of your posts and starting a thread that does NOTHING BUT ATTACK POSTERS you actually talk football? Just calling my opinion "********" doesn't count. How about you tell me reasons he's NOT underwhelming the way I pointed out his penalties and his getting abused by amendola, and the dolphins #2 wr and the rookie on the titans in the preseason? Your posts and thread are nothing about football and are just personally inflammatory. How you're not banned, or at least warned, at this point is beyond me.

I totally agree Ouchie. When the majority of someone's posts on ASFN are complaining about other posters or the board in general it makes me wonder why they bother to log on to ASFN.

But your brother and I discussed this a couple of years ago. We think that super hard core die hard fans can't bring themselves to bash the team so they vent at other posters instead.

I don't know. What I saw from watching the coach's film early in the year (against Philly and New England in particular) was that teams were rushing us with 4, expecting that our tackles would lose 1-on-1 matchups and be physically overpowered.

That didn't happen. Then Miami (especially in the 4th quarter) started dialing up five- and six-man blitzes and daring Kevin Kolb to beat them. He was (barely) able to, because the defense bailed him out a couple of times. St. Louis saw this and started bringing the heat on Kevin Kolb.

Kolb suddenly started looking like the Kolb was saw around--let's say--Week 5 of the NFL season last year. Kolb still hasn't shown that he can respond to pressure and make opposing defenses pay for bringing it on him. Especially late in tonight's game, Kolb's eye level was so low that he was getting pressured and flustered when the opposing D was only bringing 3 rushers.[/QUOTE]

You guys aren't thinking about the upside:

We'll almost certainly see a post from Mitch tomorrow explaining how Whis needs to be fired at the end of the year, Grimm should be fired before the team boards the charter home, and Kerry Rhodes should immediately be benched for Justin Bethel!

Also, how Ryan Lindley is more "Cardinal Tough" than Kevin Kolb.

Welcome back, Mitch!

lol... seriously.

we got crushed tonight against a mediocre team... and you guys are surprised people are venting? did you get amnesia and forget what the internet is?

Agreed.

If you don't like it don't visit the board after a loss. This initial post us ridiculously niave. The people on tbis board still support the tean, they are just venting. It happens after every loss, every time, on every Cardinals board on the internet.

Would everyone be happier if we had lost to the Patriots but beat the Rams?

The truth is, I think 99% would taken 4-1, any way and anyhow, before the season started without a second thought about it.

And, last night was not surprising to me. You could see this coming after the problems we had on offense in the Miami game, a short week and a road game.

Now, if we only score 3 against Buffalo and lose, at home, on 11 days of rest and preparation, giving up 8+ sacks, then it will be time for full on meltdown..

Well it is surprising that for me personally posting here for over 8 years.. at what seems like a million more following this team, that I thought WE as a board had matured in our expectations and overall lack of "notoriety." I guess some people really got caught up in the "hype" of a 4-0 start.

I on the other hand was just enjoying the ride. Not too high, not too low. I saw a couple of the posts over the last few weeks and frankly ignored them. I took time out of an otherwise mundane Thursday to really read this board in depth and am just amazed at the overall lack of football intelligence.

People should actually take a step away and actually listen to unbiased opinions that are fairly easy to find nowadays. This team is very capable of winning if people actually paid attention. Most people have not been. Even so called fans of this team.

Come on. We are not rational, we are Cardinal fans. How could rational people have stayed loyal to an organization as historically inept as this one? We ALL desperately crave vindication for all of the terrible moments he have been fed as a fan of this team. The only way I can keep going is by trying to keep an even keel and view things in a bubble. Being 4-0 didn't change my view on Kolb because we as an offense were still really struggling. You are not the 30th ranked offense in the NFL when you have great QB play.

I agree with your viewpoint. That is what I was trying to relay earlier.

I hope you're right, but IMO not a single positive came from this game and even in blowouts thats pretty rare.

There was one small positive offensively that I saw: Ryan Williams can pass block really well. He showed it the last couple of games also. He was squaring up and stoning dudes and several times was the only guy holding his block while Kolb was getting blown up.

Other'n that though, I got nothing.

If you took my post calling your comment about PP ******** as a personal attack I apologize. I was referring to the notion that he has been underwhelming as bull. I actually enjoy your posts and viewpoints along with cheese's and a few others more so than others. I don't post on here as much as I used to for many reasons. One of them is that it takes too much of my free time these days.

Having said that I read enough to gain a pulse of who says what and who feels a certain way on different topics. If anyone here feels I was personally attacking them I have not problem apologizing because that was not my intention.

I don't have a problem with people criticizing them team, but of all the things that were wrong last night, PP was not one of them. Nor do I think Ryan Williams was the problem.

I thought it was fairly obvious that the OLINE was the problem just like in Miami and what most have been saying for years.

Right after the game people are ripping every part of this team when I think it was overboard. Hey that is my problem. I accept that.

I am typing on my iPhone so I usually don't spend a lot of time and energy proofreading what I wrote. My statements were trying to relay the fact that I am not blind to the issues this team has, but we just had one loss and the sky was falling last night. I am still here posting after all these years because there are some smart knowledgeable people who come here and I enjoy their input.

Seems like the last few years I've had to wade through the crap more than I used to.

The complaining about the complaining about the complainer posts. :biglaugh:

Uh..... I have a complaint ?

I just don't know what complaint to complain about, and for that I have yet another complaint.

I have a complaint about my own confusion on what, who, and where to complain about the complaints complained about during the series of complaints complainted upon.

So, I am just going to blame Mulli for all this, and go have a beer. :mulli:

Apology accepted. Here's the thing, when I was commenting on PP it wasn't that he was THE REASON for the loss, it was that overall he's underwhelmed me with his play. Not just Thursday, but overall. That's not saying he sucks. That's not saying he wasn't PART of the reason we lost (obviously the o line was the primary culprit). But I can't understand how people always have to blame one element and not recognize that while that one element may be the PRIMARY reason for the loss, it typically takes multiple factors to lose a game. So even though the o line is the BIGGEST culprit, it is rarely the ONLY culprit. Other areas of the team can, and are, culpable too.

I love this board.

But I'm becoming more and more convinced that some of you would eat your young and I'm half afraid to look and see what's next. I'm kinda fearful I'll read "Why Fitz should be traded for a new HC".

Please tell me when it's Monday because I figure by then the conversation might just be about Buffalo.

Put that thought in a poll. Beat there'd be some who'd actually find merit.

Co-sign. There were a lot of things that contributed to this loss that fade into the background because the O line was just so damnably bad. And, while I love PP and think he will eventually be a great player, he's a pretty average corner right now.
