Worst Game

In my 64 years of watching the Cards play football I think this was the worst performance I have ever seen.

I am not going to point fingers as this was a total team effort starting with the coaches and everyone else on the team. If you are looking for a hero or someone who is better than someone else do not use this game to make a judgement. I do not know what is wrong or if it can be corrected before the economy recovers?

Been a fan since 67 and don't recall a worse loss. Certainly more discouraging loss's but never saw a team so dominated.

You guys age is showing. I've seen plenty of games worse than today's.

The last 7 games of 2000 and the first two of 2001 come to mind.

The worst in AZ? Has to be the Christmas game in 1995. The team was so bad the Car*s Head Coach went home before the game was over.

No. 2003, 49ers. Great weather. We decided to not even guard TO on the goalline on one of the TDs. They hung 51 on us, IIRC.

Worst game I've ever watched. By far. Today was ugly, no doubt, but I fully expected it. That 9er game was atrocious, and seeing them completely ignore TO was possibly the worst play I've ever seen, ever. Ever ever.

There was a Packer game and a Seahawks game in 03 (I think) at SDS that were just abysmal. At least we could say the conditions accounted for us looking so horrendus today.

This was bad but this was far from the worst peformance. In fact I would be inclined to say last week was much more embarassing.

As Shane said earlier this was entirely predictable.

I agree, John. Worst game ever. Although the Minn. game last week and the Thanksgiving day loss are a close second and third.

This team is soft. From top to botton. Coaches to starters to subs.

Weak.

Thing is, I really don't care. This team quit trying a few weeks back.

We've been outclasses countless times before. We all know that. Thing is, this time around we are NFC West Champs. And the Pat are fighting for their playoff life.

I think that's part of the reason why some think this game is top turd.

This game is right up there with the all time worst games, but I would have to give that dubious honor to the 2000 team and specifically the game against the Jaguars. That was the game where the Jaguars scored a touchdown on every possession. 7 possessions and 7 touchdowns. Time of possession was something like 40 minutes to 20 minutes.

Now that I think about this, I think today's game sickened me more than that 2000 game because back then we just sucked because of no revenue, no stadium, no talent.

Today and the last month we have sucked because we have no heart. Big difference.

I think that what makes this game worse is that last week was the worst game and it CANT get worse than that! Or was it the Eagle game that was the worst game and it couldnt get worse than that! So here we are out of the past four weeks we have had three "worst" games. It is disheartening to say the least. You think a team couldnt suck any more than they did before the last "worst" game only to out worst themselves over and over....

no way. that was one of the best ever! i made 500 bucks on that game. and they didn't score 51... it was 50-14.

This game didn't bother me at all. I knew we'd get slaughtered, they knew we'd get slaughtered...I'm sure none of them wanted to be there, for a game that means nothing to us one way or the other...eh. No biggie.

I can't imagine a single player on that team actually thought we had a chance at winning.

OK, so yesterday's game does have some competition. The Cheifs 49-0 drubbing was pretty bad. Someone mentioned that 44-6 Browns loss. I recall a pair of games vs the Eagles in 1981 where we were beat 38-0 and 55-10. The two consecutive Thanksgiving games when we were white washed by the Bills and Dolphins. The game vs the Giants in 1988 when we rushed Neil Lomax back from his injury and got crushed something like 44-7. The winless Raiders taking us out after the Monday Night collapse vs Chicago. I have to stop...
